“amazing selling machine 5 is there an alternative to amazon”

What a well laid out and informative review of Amazing selling machine. Selling on Amazon is something I’ve considered before but this has really put me off, and for good reason, so thank you. Affiliate Marketing looks a much better option. Wealthy Affiliate looks like a great way to get in to it, thanks for the recommendation.
I have never taken the course.. All the knowledge I gleaned were from his podcasts and other sources (reddit, FB groups, ImportDojo, etc.) I have 2 products out and am on number 3 and hopefully 4 soon. You can absolutely do it without taking the course. With that said, I would imagine there would be rgeat value in that course still, but if I were you I’d just take advantage of all the free info that’s out there.
The easiest way to get over this is to take the apply the old Facebook motto “move fast and break things”. You need to be relatively quick on pulling the trigger in daily implementation of what you learn but patient in the long game of replacing your income.

Your product arrives at Amazon’s warehouse, and your item is for sale under the official brand sales page on Amazon. This is important – you are an independent seller, but you get to harness the power of the official brand page’s advertising and traffic.
As for Matt Clark and Jason Katzenback’s Amazing Selling Machine, Coisson revealed that this is a much more robust and interactive program. Clark and Katzenback have put together a program that is designed to help business owners and individuals grow or build their private label e-commerce business and brand.
As a member of wealthy affiliate myself I can attest to its great resources and training. It does however take a long time to start earning, and in some cases, it takes over a year. Seeing that the amazon selling machine has great ways to make money fast, would you recommend this to someone who can afford this? Is the income something that can set you up with success for life, or would it only be seemingly temporary?
At first, I was hesitant to tell people about a program with such a high price as ASM. But after seeing how much it has benefited those who were able to sign up for the course (like ), I quickly changed my mind. However, even then, I’ve had some hesitation about taking the plunge and investing so much money into the program. Finally, I drew up a plan – to save X every week for this and as soon as I can afford to pay half of the price up front, I would join the next edition. Which is NOW 🙂

ASM stands for Amazing Selling Machine and is a course that teaches you how to sell physical products on Amazon.  The “4” part comes into play because this was the 4th offering of the course (which I signed up for).  There were 3 prior groups of ASM so it’s been around for a few years.

I started researching and learning about FBA Private Labeling largely through Scott, and listened to just about all of his podcasts minus the last 10 or so. His podcasts are tremendous, and helped me learn a lot in the beginning. However, I find that now I’ve come to the point where I’m learning nothing new from his podcasts. I find the most value in his interviews at this point. I kind of stopped listening to the podcasts a couple weeks ago and just focused my energy in sourcing and setting up my biz etc. Which really, this is the way it should be. It’s good to always be learning, but Scott’s podcasts are still geared towards new people just starting out, so there’s a law of diminishing returns and I don’t think it’s as crucial for you or I to keep listening to every single episode (the dude busts out 3 a week, it’s a lot to keep up on!)

“name something you use everyday why you want to be a leader”

Once you’ve set the vision and engaged other people through communication, you need to lead the delivery. That’s where a clear understanding of the end goal, and metrics and evaluation to demonstrate outcomes, are important. It’s a good idea to stay ahead of the delivery curve, setting interim goals along the way which are stretching but attainable. Much of what I’ve just described in the last three points is encapsulated by Steve Radcliffe in the model he discussed at the Leadership Conference last year: future, engage, deliver.

Success does not come through willpower alone. It takes consistency and determination. Doing something once won’t make a huge difference; it’s when you do that one thing many times over that you can achieve success.

Elon Musk is a great example of a leader with confidence. He truly believes that Tesla will be successful, which he has shown many times through his actions. He converted 532,000 stock options at $6.63 each, their value on Dec. 4, 2009, before Tesla went public. It was a hefty bargain considering Tesla’s stock price stood at around $195 per share at that time. He doesn’t apologize for his beliefs and has drawn fire from just about everyone for his political actions.

What happens when leaders must communicate facts that are hard to take? Nitin Nohria reflects on Winston Churchill’s devastating defeat at Gallipoli, which resulted in over 100,000 Allied casualties during World War I. “The campaign was a total fiasco for British military leadership,” he notes. “When it was over, Churchill took complete responsibility. A setback like that could have been paralyzing, but he was able to move forward to lead his country to victory in World War II.”

I feel like I’m a natural leader and cause my group mates often depend on me. I’m afraid that because they’ve gotten used to me being the leader, they think I should lead every time. should I do?

Successful school leaders are outward-looking and curious. As Teresa Tunnadine, headteacher at the Compton School in Barnet, states: “Headship is about having at least one foot outside of the school looking at what’s going on elsewhere and picking up good ideas.” They are excellent networkers and great opportunists, always in touch with events.

His radical management innovations have transformed Haier from a small, failing, state-owned refrigerator maker into the world’s largest appliance brand. He groups employees into small, self-managing teams that choose their own managers, compete for internal talent, and can earn big bonuses — unusual in the West and unheard-of in China.

People are both your primary asset and leading responsibility. You could have all the domain expertise in the world, but if you don’t know how to motivate or organize those around you, don’t have the right overarching approach, all that brain power will never be put to good use.

Start paying attention to negative thoughts so that you can move on from them and enjoy the present moment. If a negative thought arises in your head, then acknowledge it, label it a negative thought, and then let it fade away.[7] Regular meditation or mindfulness exercises can help to make this feel more natural for you.

Set the tone of your leadership style from the outset. Be confident, self-assured and respectful with everyone you meet. Speak as you want to be spoken to, and remember to listen. The first few weeks is when people develop their perceptions of you, so work hard to earn their trust. Staff want to look up to their leader, who must set out the desired tone, values and culture from the start; this will be key to effective change and progress.

Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com, has said that one of the key elements of being a good business leader is the capacity to tell the hard truths. “Leaders struggle with this problem all the time,” says David Thomas. “From a leadership point of view, you always want to move toward telling the hard truths and helping people cope with the realities of change. But as a manager, you might be more inclined to minimize the complexity of a situation so things can run smoothly for as long as possible. It’s often a judgment call.”

To become a good leader, you must have all these qualities but if you lack some of these qualities, then you might struggle to make the mark in the world of leadership. You will have to set a good example for others to follow. That is where your commitment, passion, empathy, honesty and integrity come into play. Good communication skills and decision-making capabilities also play a vital role in success and failure of a leader. Lastly, innovation and creative thinking, as well as the futuristic vision, are a couple of key traits which make a leader stand out.

Success isn’t about being catapulted into the stratosphere overnight. It’s about taking consistent action, testing different options, and seeing the results. I’ve laid out a plan for how you can be successful, but you have to work on it every day like The Rock’s muscles.

To make his case, Brown sorts successful leaders into two categories. “Redefining” leaders radically change the political landscape, not by “[seeking] centre ground” but by “[moving] the centre in their direction.” Brown puts Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon Baines Johnson in this category, because several of their signature achievements—FDR’s New Deal, and LBJ’s War on Poverty and dedication to civil rights—have had a major and lasting impact on American society. We tend to think of these men as strong leaders, and in many ways we’re right. But Brown shows a different side of the story: because of the checks and balances of the American political system, neither FDR nor LBJ had the ability to govern by fiat. Their strength lay in their power to persuade—to convince their colleagues in government, and the American people, to understand and support their point of view.

“The concept of the video is the fact that ‘successful,’ it applies to so many people that me and Trey just want to get the point across that we see ourselves and we see success in other individuals so really, it’s a video about potential. It’s a video about understanding that no matter what you do, there’s a way to be successful doing it. It’s one of those motivational videos. It actually ends with a quote from Barack Obama which is one of my favorite quotes I’ve ever read, so we decided to put it in the video. It’s vivid.”[10]

“The more you can contain your ego, the more realistic you are about your problems. You learn how to listen, and admit that you don’t know all the answers. You exhibit the attitude that you can learn from anyone at any time. Your pride doesn’t get in the way of gathering the information you need to achieve the best results. It doesn’t keep you from sharing the credit that needs to be shared. Humility allows you to acknowledge your mistakes.” – Larry Bossidy

They look for the good in every situation and in every person. They seek the valuable lessons contained in every problem or setback. They never experience “failures;” instead, write them off as “learning experiences.”

The most effective leadership is not a single entity, or a single set of values or rules a person must have in order to lead people. There are multiple leadership styles each with their own benefits and rules. If you have learned the basic qualities of leadership, upgrade your leadership skills by identifying your leadership style and master it.

Confidence can be had in any situation. Imagine saying, “I don’t know the answer,” while looking down, thumbs twiddling, and your legs fidgeting. Now imagine saying, “I don’t know the answer,” with your head up, your shoulders back, and looking the speaker in the eye. Not knowing something is fine — just be confident that you don’t know it! A lack of knowledge has nothing to do with your confidence (or ability to lead).

Many personality characteristics were found to be reliably associated with leadership emergence.[68] The list include, but is not limited to following (list organized in alphabetical order): assertiveness, authenticity, Big Five personality factors, birth order, character strengths, dominance, emotional intelligence, gender identity, intelligence, narcissism, self-efficacy for leadership, self-monitoring and social motivation.[68] Leadership emergence is the idea that people born with specific characteristics become leaders, and those without these characteristics do not become leaders. People like Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, and Nelson Mandela all share traits that an average person does not. This includes people who choose to participate in leadership roles, as opposed to those who do not. Research indicates that up to 30% of leader emergence has a genetic basis.[69] There is no current research indicating that there is a “leadership gene”, instead we inherit certain traits that might influence our decision to seek leadership. Both anecdotal, and empirical evidence support a stable relationship between specific traits and leadership behavior.[70] Using a large international sample researchers found that there are three factors that motivate leaders; affective identity (enjoyment of leading), non-calculative (leading earns reinforcement), and social-normative (sense of obligation).[71]

Notice something about these platitudes? They look at success as a destination — a place we can all reach and prance around with our success forever after learning THE PLAN for how to be successful. Yay!

Demonstrate to your children that your elders should be respected at all times. If your parents play an active role in your life, you can show your children that you respect your parents, just as they should respect you.

Hadley Cantril (1958) “Effective democratic leadership: a psychological interpretation”, Journal of Individual Psychology 14: 128–38, and pages 139–49 in Psychology, Humanism and Scientific Inquiry (1988) edited by Albert H. Cantril, Transaction Books.

It really is lonely at the top, which is reason enough not to isolate yourself, but access and accountability benefit your team at every level. Great leaders understand the value of connection with others and spend time with their team on a regular basis.

In this talk, Talgam highlights some of the greatest conductors of all time and explains the beauty in how they lead, and the effectiveness of their leadership style. While the information may initially only feel applicable to conductors and musicians, you realize that what Talgam is presenting can (and should) be applied to leadership in any sense.

“Building a real personal connection with your teammates is vital to developing the shared trust necessary to build a strong culture of accountability and exceptional performance,” St. Marie said. “With that culture in place, the team can achieve a successful business, a happy team and a fulfilled leader.”

Breaking with tradition, Judge Rakoff rebuffed the SEC’s bid to let Citigroup settle charges of securities violations without admitting wrongdoing. The case went to the heart of the financial crisis, he said, and the public deserved to know more. An appeals court still deliberates, but the bold stand, in our view, is an act of leadership.

Last but not least, great leaders know their team inside out. They know where the strengths and skills gaps are and how to best structure their teams for success. What’s more, employees who believe their manager can name their strengths are 71% more likely to be engaged at work. Everyone in your team can get to know each other better, by sharing their skills and strengths on the LMS message boards. So what are you waiting for? Go and get to know your team!

Personal Story: The first job I ever had was taking foreign exchange students to California attractions like Disneyland and the beach. Awesome right?! Well my manager was a huge jerk, which made an otherwise perfect summer job completely miserable. Even though I was only 16, it wasn’t difficult for me to see why his turnover rate was so high. I bet you can guess why I quit too.

Visionary/ Commanding leader – Here, you have the goal in mind, as you have worked with your team before, you know their strengths and weaknesses, because of this, with your idea in mind, you are able to delegate tasks to each person depending on their strengths. You are able to successfully implement your idea.

What one person deems a successful pursuit might not be perceived the same way by his or her peers. This is because our personal goals are individual to ourselves. They are our own. They’re largely based on our likes, dislikes, wants, and needs. We are all unique individuals, and that’s why success looks and feels differently to each and every one of us.

“what makes a good team leader which of the following statements is most likely true of leaders?”

You can not handle bad people. You need to focus on what you want and walk away from them. You can also talk to them and let them know that you are there, but your success comes before anything. Just remember that and just stay focused.

The introvert’s even temper creates a peaceful atmosphere that engenders trust and safety for those around them. Trust, in turn, helps us do business more effectively. Staying stable and calm in all situations—cultivating equanimity and composure—are the hallmarks of introverts. These attitudes can radiate to others in the workplace, and especially to customers. We can all sense when we enter a business if employees are on edge, which has a detrimental effect on our customer relation experience. If the operative word is calm, the introverts among us can teach us a thing or two.

Don’t change your instructions in the middle of a project. Though some adjustments in the workplace are necessary, it’s important to not only be clear about your expectations, but to also be consistent. If you change your mind about what you want halfway through a meeting, your employees may not take you seriously, or they might be frustrated.

Good leaders develop productive teams, efficient systems and a positive corporate culture. But good leadership doesn’t just happen. Good leaders possess positive personal characteristics, such as integrity, dedication, vision, a sense of fairness and creativity. And good leaders know how to inspire the best in others by being good listeners and motivators. Although many leadership qualities are innate, born into a person, other qualities can be learned.

Apart from the 14 other companies he has founded, Diamandis presides over X Prize Foundation, which hosts $10 million competitions to solve global problems. “He has an infectious optimism, which becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy,” says futurist Ray Kurzweil. He makes “each person understand that their role is critical to the success of their organization and in turn that the overall project is critical to transforming the world.”

The fourth necessary characteristic is the combination of humility and presence. Acting aloof, or above your employees, does not make a leader. Leaders have to be able to talk and listen to their employees on all levels of the company. At the same time, they must have the respect of their employees, the kind of respect that’s earned by being honest, having integrity, and being tough but fair.

“I think a great leader is one who makes those around him/her better. There are many litmus tests for a great leader, but I really look to those around them,” said Dana Brownlee, founder of Professionalism Matters. “Are they growing, becoming better leaders themselves, motivated, etc.?”

That’s how you open up. Pour out all you got from inside you. Give all you have ideas, thoughts, plans. Feel the vulnerability and learn to like it. When you pour all your ideas out you will need new ones. Where do new ideas come from? From critics who want to tear you down, from well-meaning supporters and from people you least expect.

The flip side of believing you’re working on something which will change/save the world is that it may inspire fanatical belief in the leader himself. Another potential flaw is its heavily context-dependent, in another word, the goal at the end. With a constant focus on making the world a better place, team members can sometimes lose focus on their day-to-day plan they need to execute.

When you realize that you feel guilty about something — like not hitting the gym or saving up for retirement — I want you to just take a moment and acknowledge the feeling. Recognize your guilt and ask yourself what is making you feel guilty. That leads us to…

Different situations call for different leadership styles. In an emergency when there is little time to converge on an agreement and where a designated authority has significantly more experience or expertise than the rest of the team, an autocratic leadership style may be most effective; however, in a highly motivated and aligned team with a homogeneous level of expertise, a more democratic or Laissez-faire style may be more effective. The style adopted should be the one that most effectively achieves the objectives of the group while balancing the interests of its individual members.[87] A field in which leadership style has gained strong attention is that of military science, recently expressing a holistic and integrated view of leadership, including how a leader’s physical presence determines how others perceive that leader. The factors of physical presence are military bearing, physical fitness, confidence, and resilience. The leader’s intellectual capacity helps to conceptualize solutions and acquire knowledge to do the job. A leader’s conceptual abilities apply agility, judgment, innovation, interpersonal tact, and domain knowledge. Domain knowledge for leaders encompasses tactical and technical knowledge as well as cultural and geopolitical awareness.[88]

If you go into business and make a lot of money, you’re successful. If you play tennis and finish the season with more wins than losses, you’ve been successful. If you have a successful pregnancy, you give birth to a healthy baby. Successful is one of those words that covers a great deal of ground; it generally applies to anything, anyone or any venture that ends well. When you see the word successful, think “Winning!”

Some might say Hitler was a good leader as he lead millions of people to think in the same distorted way as he did but ultimately it was not the right direction for the German’s to go and he killed himself.

A good boss also recognizes the importance of regular feedback. Acknowledge team members when they have successfully navigated an issue, and talk about what they did right. As you might expect, employees will enjoy the recognition and feel even more confident handling similar situations in the future.

Break your goal into small steps. Does the goal of starting a technology company seem impossibly unattainable? Break it down into smaller goals. Focus on streamlining your idea; then focus on getting funding; then move onto building a prototype, etc. If you have the vision to attack your goal piece by piece, it’s easier and less daunting to execute.

A 2006 Servant Leadership study, conducted by Jane T. Waddell of Regent University, suggests that some of the virtues of servant leadership that we all admire are also attributes that are more likely to be found in those who have a preference for introversion. One of these virtues is humility. Servant leadership is characterized by a primary desire to be of service to others and to empower followers to grow. Servant leaders believe their company goals are best achieved by developing the potential of their workers. They’re not self-seeking and interested in grabbing the limelight. On the contrary, they want to shine the light on others in the pursuit of a greater purpose: the success of their organizations, projects or ventures.

Other examples include modern technology deployments of small/medium-sized IT teams into client plant sites. Leadership of these teams requires hands on experience and a lead-by-example attitude to empower team members to make well thought out and concise decisions independent of executive management and/or home base decision makers. Zachary Hansen was an early adopter of Scrum/Kanban branch development methodologies during the mid 90’s to alleviate the dependency that field teams had on trunk based development. This method of just-in-time action oriented development and deployment allowed remote plant sites to deploy up-to-date software patches frequently and without dependency on core team deployment schedules satisfying the clients need to rapidly patch production environment bugs as needed.[121]

Pace-setting leader: With this style, you could charge ahead with your idea, but your team is still struggling, they may not fully understand it. So while you have an idea that solves the problem, their low morale means you have to micromanage them to get them ready. You run out of time.

A visionary leader, though, does need lieutenants who can take their vision and translate it into day-to-day work for the rest of the organization. If it’s all vision and strategy with no tie to day-to-day execution, employees will get confused and ultimately leave.

A leader is someone who has influence over a group of people. This can be an executive, a pop star or an employee who has the ability to influence coworkers’ thoughts, feelings, beliefs and actions. A leader does not necessarily have a specific title. You can tell a leader by his influence over others.

Although research has indicated that group members’ dependence on group leaders can lead to reduced self-reliance and overall group strength,[108] most people actually prefer to be led than to be without a leader (Berkowitz, 1953).[118] This “need for a leader” becomes especially strong in troubled groups that are experiencing some sort of conflict. Group members tend to be more contented and productive when they have a leader to guide them. Although individuals filling leadership roles can be a direct source of resentment for followers, most people appreciate the contributions that leaders make to their groups and consequently welcome the guidance of a leader (Stewart & Manz, To be an effective leader, one must listen to what those around you are saying, and then make a decision on what you have heard. To listen is very difficult, but one must, because the lowest of the low person in your business may say something that is effective and very important, something that you would never have thought of. So… learn to listen carefully, and when everyone has had their say, only then make a decision.

Learning doesn’t stop once you make the C-suite! Whatever someone’s title, be it L&D officer, manager, CEO or Superhero-in-Disguise – there’s always more to learn. So, make sure managers have access to the leadership training they need to develop their own skills. This way they will be best positioned to support their team’s growth and unleash other’s potential. Give your managers the power to lead by example!

The second characteristic is being able to communicate. Some leaders are great orators, but speaking well isn’t all that’s required of a leader. As we all know, there are lots of people who talk a great game but deliver nothing. Leaders who communicate well are those who not only share their thoughts with employees, but also let their strength and personal character show through in their communication, and empower those who work for them by defining the company’s goal and showing how to get there.

Awesome comment, and I’m glad this is at the top. I’m always surprised how many people fall for such high price tag info products. Sometimes that crazy high price tag validates them and makes you think there’s more to it than there really is. There’s a lot to learn from by watching their marketing lol.

How I get to know ASM? I registered an awesome free online software name Profit Spotlight last month. It can scan through the profitable product that are selling on Amazon. Now they launched Profit Spotlight 3.0 and come along with 4 part video on how to start your business on FBA.
It appears that Amazing Selling Machine has reopened the doors for ASM8 for the entire month of January 2018. They seem to be testing the waters on whether or not to keep the program open year round instead of doing a launch every 6 months or so.
Hi Todd, I discovered Amazing Selling Machine through Project Life mastery on youtube. I’m not sure if you’ve come across any of their informative “selling on amazon videos”, but it explains how it doesn’t cost that much to create your first niche product. In addition, that it’s not too costly due to choosing a lightweight product to start out with. I was wondering if you would agree with that.

The Amazing Selling Machine is an online course that teaches you step-by-step how to make money selling Amazon physical products.  It remains to be one of the best internet marketing courses I’ve ever come across thus far, and this “Live Event” was included in the online training.
The training is delivered in both video and PDF format and, unlike many other training programs out there, the PDFs are not simply transcripts of a conversation but rather are detailed training guides, which are broken down to offer step-by-step guidance through the entire system.
I am satisfied with the product I bought (ASM4) but the FBA information is wide open now so ASM’s value has been majorly diluted by the market. Moreover, increased market competition within the Amazon marketplace has lowered the value of the course.
ANYONE can sell their own products on Amazon, or even “private label” their own products like what is taught in the Amazing Selling Machine.  Heck, I’ve made a fortune just selling Kindle books on Amazon.
CleanTAS 289 : Ask Scott Session #87 – Your Business and Marketing Questions It’s one thing to learn the hard way. ASM is NOT for the lazy or those who want everything “done for them”, but the training and the support from the Amazing Mentors is TRULY second to none. You’re going to spend quite a bit of time digesting the content, and putting what you learn into action – but the results are worth the effort!
I also believe that the training and everything they provide makes it well worth the value that you’re getting for the price.  The Modules are all amazing and detailed, the community and member interaction is top-notch, the mentoring you receive from the “Mentors” are also incredible, as well as the Live Event (which I haven’t even attended yet) is supposed to be off the hook.
I really want to say thank you for keeping your ASM Amazing blogging up to date. Anyone who buys into this course at this point in the game will be losing a significant amount of money! I agree it’s ALL PAST as well I recently just signed up on their amazing.com site before doing tons of research and joining the private groups of every big named group- OUTDATED UNORGANIZED BUGGED SOFTWARE NO RESPONSES TO ANY Q&A QUESTIONS terrible worst software and horrible quality recordings and I cancelled. The market is saturated but I can say this- in 2000 I signed up for and paid 6,000 for Robert Kiyosaki’s rich dad poor dad course- HUGE SCAM! Yes I said scam. We got nothing that we paid for! I don’t call these programs pyramid schemes or mlm’s until I experience the fact that it is first hand all focus driven on recruiting new victims. Perhaps their first couple of years they did offer quality but from my personal experience in this business is that in order for these businesses to not be slapped with fraud and pyramid scheme is to keep their sales funnels going- not reinventing the wheel- but improving the sales pitch aka “products” for as long as they offer a service with products it’s harder to prove. Also Robert Kiyosaki has 15-20 different business names in his wrap sheet of complaints with the BBB. Amazing hides well but found one of their business names in the BBB with a 3 star review rating. ….. but they want to sell us all on how to get good reviews on Amazon and keep our customers happy by selling a quality product?! What a JOKE!!! “The rich keep getting richer while the poor keep getting poorer” Robert Kiyosaki says…. two guesses what Matt and Jason’s and Robert Kiyosaki’s niches are? Reddit’s post on Matt’s email whether meant for the affiliates or not shows his ethic and priorities! Who the fuck sells products and services before making sure they are suffice to sell? Asshole’s like him with his Tony Robbins wanna be self.

ASM owners claim to give you a full refund within 30 days in case if you didn’t like the product. When I first heard that I was thinking: “Is 30 days really enough to understand this business when their course is at least 8 weeks”? – Well within those 30 days you can pretty much get familiar with the program and get as far as setting up your Amazon Sellers account, contact suppliers and even order some sample products. However…
FBA stands for Fulfilled By Amazon. In layman’s terms, this means that you ship an item to Amazon, Amazon then puts that item on the particular product’s listing, and if someone buys the item, you get the money. But you don’t do any of the shipping – you only have to ship it once to Amazon.

Everyone’s situation is different so rather than trying to provide blanket advice I’ll say that Matt and Jason do charge a premium price but they’re going to try and reciprocate with value well beyond that.

Scott’s materials for selling on Amazon are priceless. Wow. The podcast is awesome, but my only gripe is that there are so many episodes (380+ now?!) that I can’t get through them all in one day! Personally, I much prefer Colombia for a number of reasons, but that might take too long to write about here. Hit Medellin, the climate is eternal springtime and the people are friendly. With the dollar so strong right now (for those with dollars) you can really get a smashing deal on goods/rent/etc.
I’m sure the Amazon people that have succeeded & want to help others have good intent, yet I’m also pretty sure that there’s a portion of people who will realize only after taking the courses that they do not really have the funds or just don’t succeed…
What we like most about Jordan’s podcast is that it is based on the questions of his listeners. The listener interaction with the host adds a genuine feel to the podcasts and keeps Ask Jordan updated with new, topical, and interesting content. As far as podcasts go, Jordan’s episodes are pretty short because he answers the questions in an efficient manner. If you’re looking for answers, this podcast is a great place to start.
Yes the price tag is hefty but this program has an amazing value. Actually my wife got this program and she is now going through the training. There is some work involved and even you need some capital to invest in your initial inventory. I will be updating this review as she launches her 1st product.
I have a special place in my heart for Ecuador, Quito as well. I have spent some time in Quito, got my passport pages extended one time and then my Colombian Visa another time. BTW, go check the Teleferico to see the city. It’s an amusement park surrounded with eucalyptus trees and has miles of hiking. You take the Gondola up (which is what Tereferico means in English)
For some people – including myself in the beginning – the price tag can seem expensive. But when you dive into the training you actually realise that this level of expertise and guidance comes at a cost, and I actually think the cost is an investment.

Hi Kevin. I think the portfolio you’re referring to is their Amazing.com product ($99/month, access to udemy-like courses for learning multiple different streams of income, including Amazon). I am an affiliate of that one only, but to be fair I don’t think their course content has been updated for approx. 1 year.
This is why my #1 Recommendation works for so many online income seekers, it’s super cheap to run (I spend 10 dollars a day for my full time earning online business and work 10 hours/week) and it only requires the willingness to learn and take action on what you learn. You’ll have to invest time and effort, but the risk is nothing and the reward is consistent online income. How large is up to you.
This ASM 8 is meant for experienced marketers who want to increase their income by expanding their businesses. On IdeaMensch, Matt lays out his strategy even more, noting that, while he started out as an affiliate marketer selling other entrepreneurs’ products and getting a 40-50% profit margin, it didn’t compare to him selling his own product and making a 400-500% profit margin (!).
It took about eight weeks to get my product sourced, designed, labeled, and shipped to Amazon. We (my buddy and I) started small and only ordered 100 units to begin (for a total investment of about $600).
“While PAC offers a good less expensive option, it is clear that ASM is the better program at the end of the day. Overall, it’s important for business owners to go with the right program for themselves and that is why you should look at each one and decide for yourself. The costs of the programs are quite different, but so is the level of training and that is why until one can review them both strategically they may not comprehend which is best for them,” states Coisson.
Affiliate marketing is a beast, no matter what side of the coin you are talking about. Whether it is drop shipping your way to success with the Amazon brown boxes or, simply linking to products and services affiliate marketing is just that, affiliate marketing.

Thanks for your kind feedback on my Amazing Selling Machine Review. I also took the importing fortunes program which I found completely inept compared to the training at Wealthy Affiliate. It’s like comparing a one week high school course to a 4 year college degree.
This bonus and their guarantee truly ARE worth the peace of mind you get for this epic training by Matt and Jason.  I want you to be succesfull in this, so take the time and learn the system, buy your products, build your business, and understand the hype behind ASM IS warranted. 🙂
The first thing I noticed after joining ASM was that their private Facebook communities were like nothing I had seen before. It was like having 3,000 friends encouraging and helping you on a daily basis. Actually, you would get help in seconds! Sometimes when I had a question, I asked the Facebook ASM group and within a few moments, I would hear that familiar ping of the Facebook notification, alerting me that someone had answered the question I had asked a second ago! It was like magic. The quality of support there is overwhelming.  Normally people quit programs because they have to do everything themselves and cannot expect much help from anybody.
If you are an existing shop owner, you will learn proven techniques to take your business to the next level whether it be through learning advanced Amazon selling tactics, SEO, social media, PPC advertising, copywriting, email marketing, you name it.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check this free video from the creators of ASM which covers how to pick the right product to sell on Amazon. They then explain how to build and scale an Amazon business to $100,000 per month.
The Facebook group I’ve just about abandoned. There is a lot of good information there, but there is a lot of really bad and blatantly false information on there too. The problem I have with the group are the individuals that act like experts in private labeling on Amazon, and give our bad/false information, just because they don’t really know what they’re talking about, but people listen to them regardless and it’s just all around bad.
Awesome comment, and I’m glad this is at the top. I’m always surprised how many people fall for such high price tag info products. Sometimes that crazy high price tag validates them and makes you think there’s more to it than there really is. There’s a lot to learn from by watching their marketing lol.

Excellent points and I really would encourage any online entrepreneur to read what Rod here has said about the Amazing Selling Machine. Don’t waste your hard earned cash on an over priced and marketed program. Go with Skip McGrath’s The Complete Amazon Marketing System for $147, that’s 33 times less expensive than the Amazing Selling Machine training.
The interesting thing is The Amazing Selling Machine guys have been doing this for 4-5 years in a row, with the same company name and same address. If they were underhanded or crooked or doing anything illegal, they would have had to dissolve and/or change names and/or re-package under a different name, and/or receive a class action suit and/or a big consumer outrage, and I don’t see any of that. I think their offer, program, and money-back guarantee is ‘fair’ and they’ve operated fairly. It’s just their price point is considerably higher than what you can find comparably with (say) Proven Amazon Course (just one example).
So when I review products like the Amazing Selling Machine, it’s because I’m truly interested to see if the product is a good system, legit, or a scam. If it’s a good product, I incorporate into my website and recommend it if I truly believe in it.

Hi Merry. Thanks for your feedback. From what I understand the main reason someone would buy ASM is simply saving time to kick start Amazon business and start making money literally after 2-3 months. I mean if that is the case – then this is pretty good investment. Another reason ASM is legitimate program – they keep on bringing these launches and get a ton of sign ups and so far I can’t find very negative feedback.

“in general the perfect leader”

Without a doubt, running a company is serious business. Products and services must be sold and delivered, and money must be made. Despite the gravity of these responsibilities, successful leaders make their organizations fun places to work. Instead of having employees who look for every possible reason to call in sick or to arrive to work late or go home early, organizations work hard and play hard end up with a more loyal, energized workforce.

Know your three steps forward. You do not need more. Fill out your weekly calendar, noting when you will do what and how. When-what-how is important to schedule. Review how each day went by what you learned and revise what you could improve.

Scouller argued that self-mastery is the key to growing one’s leadership presence, building trusting relationships with followers and dissolving one’s limiting beliefs and habits, thereby enabling behavioral flexibility as circumstances change, while staying connected to one’s core values (that is, while remaining authentic). To support leaders’ development, he introduced a new model of the human psyche and outlined the principles and techniques of self-mastery, which include the practice of mindfulness meditation.[55]

You should give them further vision, a goal, which is consist of not only numbers, but values. Vision, mission, value creating meetings could help to develop these goals. You should be at honest on these meetings as you can, sharing your hopes and what you want to be reality

If you spend time with those who refuse to take responsibility for their life, always find excuses and blame others for the situation they are in, your average will go down, and with it your opportunity to succeed.

When faced with a big decision or obstacle, imagine how your mentor would handle it. Think about what they’ve done to overcome similar situations. This can help point you in the right direction when you find yourself being challenged.

According to J. Kelly Hoey, author, “Build Your Dream Network” (TarcherPerigree, 2017), a leader builds their employees so they can be as successful as, if not more than, the person in charge. “A leader is someone who builds their team, mentors them and then advocates for them,” she said.

With that in mind, sometimes the executive team is surprised by some of the people I speak with, unaware that insight and understanding reside with people in roles they would not have considered. People in finance, product development and legal affairs have a different understanding about the market than marketing people do.

There are a lot of tips and strategies out there on how to be successful in life, but I am still a firm believer that there is no better way to succeed than to follow that footsteps of those who have already done so. Here are 13 success tips from some of the world’s most successful and renowned people:

I wasn’t too bad at firing people when they were negligent, and I mostly handled them well. In most cases, I went through all the proper steps to build consensus first with HR, create a paper trail to show how I had tried to work through the issues with the employee, and address problems head-on. Yet, I can recall a few instances when I should have moved even faster on the dismissal. Why? Because those troublemakers were bringing down the team as a whole. As a leader, I should have protected my employees more.

It’s important to manage your energy. Leaders are constantly on display and under scrutiny. You need to have energy in reserve so that you can manage your mood and the image you project, and have something in the tank when crises happen (as they inevitably will). Learn to recognise when you are tired or stressed, and how that makes you behave. Watch out for the signs. Learn also to recognise where your positive energy comes from and what takes it away.

If you focus on the excitement of discovery, improving, exploring and experimenting, your motivation will always be fueled. If you focus only on results, your motivation will be like weather—it will die the minute you hit a storm. So the key is to focus on the journey, not the destination. Keep thinking about what you are learning along the way and what you can improve.

Good leaders listen, motivate, delegate and provide vision. Leaders can improve listening skills through practice and education. A leader motivates those under her to work hard, and she inspires productivity. Knowing when and to whom to delicate tasks is an important leadership skill, along with providing a vision that is clear and comprehensive.

I was searching for something just like this. The book contains all the information I needed about proper leadership and I’m glad that I downloaded it to my kindle. I found the book well written, interesting and very useful in my job. I also like the author’s way to explain things in a way that everyone can understand. Five stars out of five!

Only about 10% of people have this quality of future-orientation. This small percentage includes all the movers, shakers, entrepreneurs, business builders, top salespeople, artists, musicians, and creators of all kinds.

In organisational settings, we often hear that levels of trust in leaders are at an all-time low in the wake of the financial crisis, a series of corporate scandals, and the ongoing challenges faced by employees in securing “good work”. Although we inevitably hear most about high-profile cases of failure, leadership is not a process that just takes place at the top of the hierarchy. If we want to know about leadership and how it works in an organisational setting, we also need to look at how leadership behaviours and attitudes are throughout the whole organisation.

“best leader what makes a good ruler”

A key to successful management is the relationship between the manager and his or her staff. It’s the manner in which managers manage people that separates the ordinary from the good and the exceptional.

Above all, leadership is a people job. When an employee needs to talk with you–whatever the reason–make sure that you set aside the time to do so. Put your work aside for a moment, put down your smartphone, and on the person standing in front of you.

Show your love and affection for your spouse and children. Though you may be an authority figure, you are also a mother or father, and it’s important to tell your children how much you love them, to hug them, and to tell them they’re special every single day.

Keeping up isn’t enough. Business is competitive, and as a leader you have to be ahead of the curve. Learning, growth and responding to change are key. Cultivate a passion for learning in yourself and your team.

This technique comes from a Japanese industrialist named Sakichi Toyoda. He developed the method in order to find solutions at the root of recurring issues related to his manufacturing plant and helped blow up his company into a household name — you might have heard of it: Toyota Motors.

Once you harness your fears and make the leap to starting a business, you’ve already begun the journey of becoming a leader. As we’ll discuss shortly, your ultimate success will have a lot to do with how you help others find their own. Many of us hold successful entrepreneurs on a pedestal much like football fans hold a star quarterback or wide receiver in high regard. However, there’s always a team that these individuals lead that ultimately leads to their success. You must learn how to be a leader on some kind of level in order to motivate others to join you in your venture, believe in what you preach, or give you money for a product or service that you offer.

There are a number of things that leaders can do to ensure that they are leading “with purpose”. The first is to make sure that you know what the overall organisational vision is or, if you’re in a senior role, that you have developed and disseminated a meaningful vision. Each leader will then need to think about how that vision can be made relevant to their team. Regular discussions about vision and values are important for people to see how their work fits in and contributes.

To improve his leadership skills, a leader can benefit from assessment performed by a professional leadership consultant. Through this type of consultation, a leader’s strengths and weaknesses are identified and an action plan is developed to address needs in both personal and professional concerns.

First and foremost, great leaders care about their team’s development and with good reason! 65% of employees cite ‘training and development opportunities’ as one of their top three work motivators. Strong leaders tap into employees’ desire to learn by providing constant access to the right training that meets their personal and company needs. Creating a strong learning culture across your teams doesn’t only improve employees capabilities, it increases team motivation and engagement with the business mission.

Practise what you preach. You must believe, in order for people to follow and buy into your vision. Show you are passionate, enthusiastic and proud. People spend a large part of their lives at work, and having a leader who is genuinely excited about the future of the company is hugely motivating and inspiring.

“I look at leadership as an honor and a vocation,” he told Business News Daily. “If, in your heart, you feel leadership is your destiny and how you’ll make a difference in this world, then you are certainly starting from the right place.”

You are less effective as a manager if you are over-stressed. You are less tolerant. You snap at people more. No one wants to be anywhere near you. Take a break. Give yourself a chance to relax and recharge your batteries.

Financially successful people do at least one thing better than just about everyone around them. (Of course it helps if you pick something to be great at that the world also values–and will pay for.)

In contrast to individual leadership, some organizations have adopted group leadership. In this so-called shared leadership, more than one person provides direction to the group as a whole. It is furthermore characterized by shared responsibility, cooperation and mutual influence among the team members.[98] Some organizations have taken this approach in hopes of increasing creativity, reducing costs, or downsizing. Others may see the traditional leadership of a boss as costing too much in team performance. In some situations, the team members best able to handle any given phase of the project become the temporary leaders. Additionally, as each team member has the opportunity to experience the elevated level of empowerment, it energizes staff and feeds the cycle of success.[99]

A great school community is one where students feel safe and know they will be treated fairly. It is the principal’s job to create that safe atmosphere where children can learn. The first year she was at Balboa High School, Principal Gray was concerned about a gang presence at the school. Although it meant she had to work many evenings and weekends, she met personally with the parents of every single student who got in trouble that year. Principal Gray believes her action sent a strong message about her commitment to creating a safe learning community at Balboa.

Your leaders need a wide variety of skills and knowledge to motivate and support your teams, improve their own skills and connect with employees. No matter what industry you compete in, no matter how large or small your workforce, A Better Leader helps you create great leaders who will help you build your legacy with a true culture of engagement.

If you’re practicing with members of your own team, offer them encouragement. Instead of showing off and being mean when they make a misstep, show them how to improve their game and compliment them when appropriate.

A boss may keep strict control over the flow of information and all of the company’s resources; it may be a one-way form of communication from them to the employees. A leader openly shares information and their knowledge; they usually encourage ideas and discussions. A leader may count on their management team to take this information to the larger team so it can become action.

Bosses may expect big results because they pay employees, while leaders offer immediate praise, thanks and constructive criticism (when appropriate) as it happens. They may realize that team members are rewarded by other incentives in addition to money. Leaders may make time to pause and celebrate employees’ wins individually or as a company.

Ma became a billionaire not just through brilliant management but also by leading his company in a big, brash way. From the day in 1999 when he founded Alibaba in a Hangzhou apartment, he has exhorted employees to “think big” and “work for their dreams!” He did that himself and built Alibaba into the world’s largest online business, with some 100 million shoppers a day and higher revenues than Amazon and eBay combined.

The best strategic thinkers see the big picture, and are not distracted by side issues or minor details. All their decisions are likely to be broadly based on their answer to the question ‘does this take me closer to where I want to be?’

That makes me think of a story I heard many years ago for which I don’t remember the source. It was about a steel worker who found his job very un-motivating. Day after day, he loaded beams of steel onto trucks. Then one day, after another hard day, he listened to the space shuttle lunch on the news. Much to his surprise, it was mentioned that the steel used to build the space shuttle was coming from the steel plant that he was working in. Needless to say, he was quite happy to brag to everyone in the room that he was the one who loaded those beams of steel onto the truck to be delivered. If his superior would have taken a few minutes to explain what the steel was being used for, perhaps he would have changed his perception and would have been extremely proud of his efforts, as little as they were, in helping to build a space shuttle.

I figured this thing must be either a complete make-me-poorer scam, or a FANTASTIC product that people are desperate to buy. I watched all the ASM videos. Just like ObamaCare, it sounded too good to be true. It seemed too easy to find products and suppliers using ASM and to start making incredible sales with Amazon.
EVERYTHING with the Amazing Selling Machine is set up to help you succeed.  I can confidently say that this is the BEST training course or program amazing selling machine asm I’ve ever been through, and I haven’t even attended the live event yet that comes with the program.
The price is ridiculous and unfortunately the reason that it’s so high is because they are paying huge affiliate commissions. But the reality is that the Amazing Selling Machine is selling overpriced information.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised with the support, education, and training from both of these programs. Obviously Wealthy Affiliate is the most complete form of online training and is my preferred method (affiliate marketing), but both are solid, dependable sources.

For a long time I was very curious on how to sell products on Amazon and invest as little money as possible. I have read a ton of educational materials online and even tried reselling products from China on Amazon but I could not get desired success as I was doing something wrong.  These were my main concerns:
This ASM module consists of 14 lessons, and goes into some of the supporting items you’ll need set up for your business, such as a Brand Facebook Page, a brand website, Youtube, Twitter, Pinterest pages etc.
Walmart is in the business of moving inventory quickly. The sales of a single store per day are absolutely absurd – some of the busier branches easily hit seven figures in revenue per day. Just FYI, Walmart has over 10,000 stores internationally. Imagine that…
To summarize, the Amazing Selling Machine is the best training course that I have ever experienced.  This is coming from someone that has invested nearly $100,000 in coaching, seminars and online programs.  I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone that wants to get into selling on Amazon and is committed to it.  Obviously, this is only for people that are committed and willing to invest in themselves and starting their own online business.  Every business requires an investment and when put in perspective of what a college education costs, this is easily worth every penny.
The business model of a big brand store revolves around finding products that people buy, sending them to individual branches, and selling the items. If the sales volume for a branch is incorrectly estimated and there is no room for the excess, it gets discounted.
You know I have been down in mostly Colombia for the past 6 years. I recently got married to my Colombian wife so we’re up here in Colorado spending time with family. It’s been a year and a half since I have been back in the states.
Right now, the doors are open and will remain open until January 31st, at which point they will make their decision. If you are on the fence about joining, I would take this opportunity to get in just in case they do decide to close up until later in the year.

“why do you want to become a leader you re the leader”

You have to be the one to discover your passion. Take some alone time and think about what you enjoy doing the most. Think about what leaves you fulfilled when you’re done doing it. Don’t try to force it, though. Your passion should come naturally to you.

Malala Yousafzai first stood up to the Taliban when she was 11. A fierce and outspoken defender of a female’s right to education, the Swat Valley schoolgirl was shot by them four years later aboard her school bus. The senseless act stunned the world, just as her recovery and continued activism — despite more death threats — have drawn many to her cause. Bede Sheppard of Human Rights Watch calls Malala a “radiant example that children can be intelligent and savvy advocates for their own rights.”

Let’s take a look at that healthy lifestyle example again. Say you’re training for a race and your goal is to be able to run a 5 kilometre race in a couple months time. Each run that you successfully complete is a success. But will every one of those runs feel good? Likely not. Not when you collapse through your front door, dripping in sweat, muddy past the ankles, and gasping for water.

Great leaders with excellent management skills encourage input and change, and the best way to measure them is based on feedback they get from their best people. People usually give the best scores to leaders you trust and to leaders who listen.

To transition from a manager to a leader, you must let go of the reins and allow your team to take full control of their roles and responsibilities. Believe in their abilities wholeheartedly, even if the position they are taking on is more demanding. Not only will this give you the opportunity to put more of an emphasis on long-term goals, capabilities, and the company’s vision, it also helps everyone grow and develop. So be sure to give them (and you!) the opportunities they deserve.

Live purposefully. In order to achieve your dreams and be the person you want to be, you will have to start paying attention to your actions. Ask yourself, “Is what I’m doing going to lead me to where I want to be in life?”[3]

The search for the characteristics or traits of leaders has continued for centuries. Philosophical writings from Plato’s Republic[12] to Plutarch’s Lives have explored the question “What qualities distinguish an individual as a leader?” Underlying this search was the early recognition of the importance of leadership[citation needed] and the assumption that leadership is rooted in the characteristics that certain individuals possess. This idea that leadership is based on individual attributes is known as the “trait theory of leadership”.

There’s a tendency in any job to do the easiest tasks first. Duh! They are the easiest! It’s always nice to look like we’re getting more done each week and clearing up our time for the harder challenges in the workplace. In leadership, that’s a big mistake. That troublemaker on your team? The drop in sales after a marketing snafu? A big tax change? Address those problems first to free up your time to lead better the rest of the week.

A successful pursuit might be going to the grocery store with your children and not experiencing any meltdowns or tantrums. A successful pursuit could be securing an interview for the job of your dreams. Or, a successful pursuit could simply be getting out of bed in the morning.

“A leader places the people around him or her in a position that sets them up for success,” said Andor Kovacs, CEO and founder of property restoration brand Restoration 1. “This is a difficult task, because a leader must have an in-depth understanding of each individual, such as understanding their career goals and knowing what motivates them. By being committed to helping each person achieve their own personal goals, the leader sets the organization up for greatness.”

Some leaders may drive their teams to work hard, while others will constantly be at their sides, giving every task their one hundred percent. The latter is the type of leader that can expect to achieve more. Teams work better when they see that the one that they answer to is right by their side, sharing their struggles and triumphs.

Kurt Lewin, Ronald Lipitt, and Ralph White developed in 1939 the seminal work on the influence of leadership styles and performance. The researchers evaluated the performance of groups of eleven-year-old boys under different types of work climate. In each, the leader exercised his influence regarding the type of group decision making, praise and criticism (feedback), and the management of the group tasks (project management) according to three styles: authoritarian, democratic, and laissez-faire.[33]

The leader-leader model engages team members in a way that is more difficult (or impossible) with the leader-follower one. Employees are more engaged, and achieve a sense of meaning and purpose in their work. As a result, retention rates improve, collaboration increases, and the organization benefits from empowered workers who take the initiative instead of waiting around to be told what to do.

There is nowhere to hide anymore, and businesspeople who attempt to keep secrets will eventually be exposed. Openness and honesty lead to happier staff and customers and colleagues. More important, transparency makes it a lot easier to sleep at night – unworried about what you said to whom, a happier leader is a more productive one.

Even in the worst situations such as experiencing low team morale or team members having made a big mistake at work, a great leader stays positive and figure out ways to keep the team motivated to solve the problems.

They communicate, not just the overall direction, but any information their followers need to successfully and skillfully carry out their responsibilities. They recognize that for their followers to perform most effectively they need to understand the big picture. They also know that their job is to remove barriers that may have a  negative impact on the employees’ success—not to micromanage how the employees accomplish their work.

Every employee wants to do a good job. And when they do a good job, employees want recognition from their bosses. Unfortunately, few bosses do much in the way of recognizing and rewarding employees for a job well done. The good news is that there are many things bosses can do to recognize employees that cost little or no money, are easy to implement, and that take only a few minutes to accomplish.

Executives are energetic, outgoing, and competitive. They can be visionary, hard-working, and decisive. However, managers need to be aware of unsuccessful executives who once showed management potential but who are later dismissed or retired early. They typically fail because of personality factors rather than job performances.[126]
