to really make some decent returns. There are all sorts of fees and charges, in particular, if you store your product in Amazon. There are a lot of stumbling blocks; most of them can be settled with the aid of ASM and those who mentor members. However, unless you are fortunate enough to land some well in demand/selling items, then you are up against it. Then there are the listing hijackings, product hijackings etc. Don’t know if a Google search will help, but well worth the time to look at all aspects of selling on Amazon. As for the ASM team, a better and more honest/supportive organisation you will be lucky to find and the course itself is great. If they cut down on the affiliate payment, maybe that would make it a little more attractive.
In whatever you do, look at things for what they are and how they relate to you.  In this blog post, I’ve done my best to include information that I would have found helpful when deciding whether to sign up.
After that, you will learn the right way of creating your first product listing while you’re waiting for the inventory to arrive. You will learn things like finding the right keywords, copywriting for your listing page, creating images, & all other listing components.
However I am still finding great products to sell. Sure you need to have more products to sell to make the same profit you used to make from one product but it still provides me with a business that gives me financial freedom. Having several products also reduces the risk of being reliant on one or two products.

All told my guess is 40,000-50,000 people or more have signed up for and taken this program. Like many programs – everyone makes the money on selling you info, not their own success. They sell you the info because they maxed out and decided their knowledge was worth more. They sell the program twice a year and bank up 10 millions while diluting the Amazon market with 1,000s of new sellers.

What did I do? I started searching for Amazing Selling Machine reviews, Jason Katzenback reviews and Matt Clark reviews – like you’re probably doing right now! Being successful is partly about assembling an able team around you. If you can’t trust others enough to let them do their job, you probably won’t succeed at that.
A leader was once seen as someone who presided from on high, dispensing wisdom, reward and discipline. The historic view of a leader was of someone in command and control who took a strong role in issuing directives and enforcing their execution while remaining at a distance from the daily work.
If you really want to know what people think, just ask them. You may receive feedback that you’re not listening or showing appreciation as well as you could be. If you’ve established an environment of honest and open communication, you should be able to ask about your good qualities and the areas you need to improve on. Your staff will appreciate your effort.
Everyone has qualities that leaders possess, but not everyone encounters the exact set of circumstances in life where those qualities can really shine and be recognized. Everyone can, however, develop their leadership qualities and put them to positive use in life every day, in and out of the workplace.
Magnanimity means giving credit where it is due. A magnanimous leader ensures that credit for successes is spread as widely as possible throughout the company. Conversely, a good leader takes personal responsibility for failures. This sort of reverse magnanimity helps other people feel good about themselves and draws the team closer together. To spread the fame and take the blame is a hallmark of effective leadership.
Leaders also need to be able to make good decisions in support of their strategy delivery, and solve problems. With a positive attitude, problems can become opportunities and learning experiences, and a leader can gain much information from a problem addressed.
In short, what makes a good leader isn’t so much a series of predefined core competencies, but more about a personal attitude that can be developed to guide you towards the missing competencies and help you on your leadership journey!
Focus on your goals only, not comparing yourself to others. Everybody has their own advantages, disadvantages, and obstacles to overcome. Formulate a plan to achieve your own definition of success, and figure out the steps you need to take to get there (education, experience in a new job, investing, etc.), and begin taking the first steps to get there. Once you’re making progress toward your goal, no matter how small, you’ll be more driven by your own accomplishments and less worried about others.
Moses’ identification with and love for the people was again seen when God declared that He was going to destroy the Israelites but would make a great nation of Moses and his descendants – the Israelites were worshipping a golden calf which they had fashioned out of their gold earrings. Moses immediately interceded for the people (Exo 32:7-14).
Leaders must ensure that the work needed to deliver the vision is properly managed – either by themselves, or by a dedicated manager or team of managers to whom the leader delegates this responsibility – and they need to ensure that their vision is delivered successfully.

I am insanely committed to planning physical fitness and downtime. Scheduling exercise into my day is important enough that it’s literally blocked off on my calendar — it’s as important as any meeting to me. Leading a group of people requires a mutual sense of trust and understanding between the leader and the team members. As a first step toward that goal, leaders should learn to connect. Terry “Starbucker” St. Marie, a leadership writer and consultant, said that being what he calls a “more human” leader requires positivity, purpose, empathy, compassion, humility and love. These key traits will put you on the road to genuine connections with the members of your team.
There is little point having a leader incapable of making a decision, even if it turns out to be the wrong one. Being indecisive can undermine confidence and trust. Leaders must lead, take a chance and make a decision based on the facts to hand. This is the core skill of any successful leader. Gordon Brown as prime minister lost much of the confidence of his close allies when he failed to decide to call a general election in 2007 that he could have won with ease. A lack of decision making and clarity of purpose will lead to a rapid loss of support and credibility.

As Matt and Jason started working together to create a plan for this new community/membership, Matt dedicate many days researching what was currently available in the marketplace. After buying every info product and membership he could get his hands on, Matt was shocked by not only the obvious lack of quality information and services being provided but also the fact that no one else was talking about anything even close to how he was doing things. In fact, Matt was very disturbed by the out right lies people were teaching, and it was obvious that much of the information was created by people whom had no real success using the strategies they were selling.
In the nutshell the whole concept behind Amazing Selling Machine (ASM) is to teach you how to drop ship products on Amazon. They show you how to get the maximum profits by buying products at low prices on Alibaba or any other whole seller and re-sell them at 30-100% margins.

Many personality characteristics were found to be reliably associated with leadership emergence.[68] The list include, but is not limited to following (list organized in alphabetical order): assertiveness, authenticity, Big Five personality factors, birth order, character strengths, dominance, emotional intelligence, gender identity, intelligence, narcissism, self-efficacy for leadership, self-monitoring and social motivation.[68] Leadership emergence is the idea that people born with specific characteristics become leaders, and those without these characteristics do not become leaders. People like Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, and Nelson Mandela all share traits that an average person does not. This includes people who choose to participate in leadership roles, as opposed to those who do not. Research indicates that up to 30% of leader emergence has a genetic basis.[69] There is no current research indicating that there is a “leadership gene”, instead we inherit certain traits that might influence our decision to seek leadership. Both anecdotal, and empirical evidence support a stable relationship between specific traits and leadership behavior.[70] Using a large international sample researchers found that there are three factors that motivate leaders; affective identity (enjoyment of leading), non-calculative (leading earns reinforcement), and social-normative (sense of obligation).[71]
The principles in this book are not remarkably new and the dictionary definitions at the start of every section seem a little out of place. The tendency for the points to spill into each other was also a little distracting. But the inspiring stories in every section were a nice touch.

In this case, I recommend making this journal strictly about your career—save reflections on that awkward exchange with an old friend for a different diary. Note instances you could’ve handled differently or times you could’ve communicated better. Keep records of your own and your team’s accomplishments, long-term goals, mishandled situations, time-management, and more. You can write it out by hand or keep track online (and if you opt for the online route, I suggest DayOne).
I really like that you talk about how a good leader will be creative and come up with innovative solutions for certain problems. It makes sense that good leaders exist in every industry providing quality leadership and solutions to problems that are hard to solve. I also think that empowerment can be a big part of this because a good leader that’s able to delegate different things to different people could be very effective in coming up with solutions.
It doesn’t matter if you are running a business, managing a team, or teaching a class–leadership skills are important. Some people seem to be born knowing what to do to inspire and lead people, but for most of us it doesn’t come that naturally.

What does the word ‘leadership’ mean to you? Does it mean being good at your job, being well liked, or being in charge of everyone? Every CEO and business owner in the world aspires to be a good leader, but how can you be a good leader, if you don’t understand what leadership really means?
If you can believe in yourself and try your best, you can become a lot more ambitious. Having a strong desire to succeed is part of the journey to actually succeeding. If you know what you want to achieve, and you have the determination to go for it; this can really help you.
Treat your troop with respect and be careful not to be too bossy. If you feel your troop is getting out of control, quiet them down by raising two fingers and asking them to do the same, saying “One, two, three, eyes on me!”, or by clapping three times and asking them to repeat it to come to order. This will cut down on yelling at the group.
You must know your reasons for wanting to learn how to become successful and achieve your goals. This is the only way you can persevere when the going gets tough and achieve your goals. When things get challenging, reflect on what caused you to pursue this path in the first place. Were you conventionally successful but internally unhappy? Have you not utilized your skills as much as you would like to? Are you trying to become a more well-rounded individual? Whatever your reason for wanting to succeed, use these motivations as the cornerstone of your desire to work hard and achieve more.
This is done through reading books and blogs, attending conferences, seminars, webinars, and trainings, participating in “Mastermind groups,” collaborating with others, and working with several mentors.

If someone is barely making rent or barely able to buy groceries, do not go with the Amazing Selling Machine. Yes, Amazon is a very good program. Name brand items and great deals. The name and their authority in the customer service niche will lend trust in the seller. I began selling with Amazon almost 10 years ago. Not a power seller by any means, but made a few coins that helped out. Unfortunately, Amazon has seen fit to close the affiliate program to those of us in Maine. Our state has made some changes to the tax laws, and until those are settled properly, Amazon has to suspend our ability to sell through them. Lovely, eh?
I think the Amazing Selling Machine is way too expensive for someone who is new to online business. And yes, most online businesses should be much less expensive to start. However, with importing, you are always going to have the risk of inventory/no sales.

Men don’t become highly successful by accident. While the concept of how “successful” a man is remains a matter of personal judgment, regardless of a man’s wealth or fame, there are undeniable habits and traits a man has to have to help him achieve success and to maximize his true potential.
Charisma. People usually perceive leaders as larger than life. Charisma plays a large part in this perception. Leaders who have charisma are able to arouse strong emotions in their employees by defining a vision which unites and captivates them. Using this vision, leaders motivate employees to reach toward a future goal by tying the goal to substantial personal rewards and values.
Another factor that covaries with leadership style is whether the person is male or female. When men and women come together in groups, they tend to adopt different leadership styles. Men generally assume an agentic leadership style. They are task-oriented, active, decision focused, independent and goal oriented. Women, on the other hand, are generally more communal when they assume a leadership position; they strive to be helpful towards others, warm in relation to others, understanding, and mindful of others’ feelings. In general, when women are asked to describe themselves to others in newly formed groups, they emphasize their open, fair, responsible, and pleasant communal qualities. They give advice, offer assurances, and manage conflicts in an attempt to maintain positive relationships among group members. Women connect more positively to group members by smiling, maintaining eye contact and respond tactfully to others’ comments. Men, conversely, describe themselves as influential, powerful and proficient at the task that needs to be done. They tend to place more focus on initiating structure within the group, setting standards and objectives, identifying roles, defining responsibilities and standard operating procedures, proposing solutions to problems, monitoring compliance with procedures, and finally, emphasizing the need for productivity and efficiency in the work that needs to be done. As leaders, men are primarily task-oriented, but women tend to be both task- and relationship-oriented. However, it is important to note that these sex differences are only tendencies, and do not manifest themselves within men and women across all groups and situations.[90]

When I looked back on my days as an athlete, I understood what was different. I remembered what (or who) made me push myself even when I didn’t want to. The difference was, as an athlete, I had structured days and a coach to report to. Structure keeps us focused and a coach keeps pushing and challenging us.
In the scientific community especially, it isn’t enough for a manager to have only broad, general knowledge. We need our managers to have expert professional knowledge and judgement in their field, so they can have a deep understanding of the problems at hand and the ability to develop ideas and solutions to address those problems. It’s then their responsibility to utilize their management skills and deploy new methods that find solutions.

While leadership is unique to everyone, there are some common ways to define the term. Peter Economy, also known as “The Leadership Guy,” listed the qualities of today’s best leadership in an Inc.com article. According to Economy, leadership embodies:

Maxwell argues that all of the labels to determine who’s a leader and who’s not are wrong. He believes that a leader is someone who influences others. It’s that simple.
Nohria also feels that leaders are able to distill their message, however complex it may be, to something that is accessible to those who may not share their knowledge or background. Joe Badaracco agrees. “You need a talent for simplicity — for saying things in a few words. General Electric’s Jack Welch is a good example. He is astonishingly articulate and able to convey complicated concepts in just a few phrases.”
Consequently, people can have confidence that their leader won’t  punish them for their efforts if they take reasonable and responsible risks that are well thought out and well-founded. They are accountable and responsible to deserve their leader’s confidence and trust.

President Kennedy was a gifted orator whose speeches, as The Atlantic described them, “were filled with phrases that seemed designed to be carved in stone.” Although his first year in the White House included several failed attempts to topple Cuba’s Communist regime, President Kennedy used his charismatic leadership style to prevent the U.S. from bombing Cuba and reach a peaceful end to the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. Many of JFK’s legislative proposals to strengthen civil rights, voting rights, and aid poor and elderly citizens were passed into law after his death.
According to some, leadership is determined by distinctive dispositional characteristics present at birth (e.g., extraversion; intelligence; ingenuity). However, according to Forsyth (2009) there is evidence to show that leadership also develops through hard work and careful observation.[108] Thus, effective leadership can result from nature (i.e., innate talents) as well as nurture (i.e., acquired skills).
Developing leadership qualities requires debunking several misconceptions about leadership too. For example, many people think they can’t be leaders since they’re not in a position of authority. But at the most fundamental level, people have authority over their own values, actions, and decisions, and should honor that authority appropriately. Many people think introverts can’t be great leaders, but would anyone have labeled Civil Rights icon Rosa Parks as an extrovert?
Situational theory also appeared as a reaction to the trait theory of leadership. Social scientists argued that history was more than the result of intervention of great men as Carlyle suggested. Herbert Spencer (1884) (and Karl Marx) said that the times produce the person and not the other way around.[40] This theory assumes that different situations call for different characteristics; according to this group of theories, no single optimal psychographic profile of a leader exists. According to the theory, “what an individual actually does when acting as a leader is in large part dependent upon characteristics of the situation in which he functions.”[41]
An effective leader is a person with a passion for a cause that is larger than they are. Someone with a dream and a vision that will better society, or at least, some portion of it. I think a very key question has to be answered: Can someone who is a charismatic leader, but only to do evil or to promote herself, a leader — especially if she has a large following?” I would say no, she is a manipulator.
Stepping into a new leadership role can be daunting. Anyone in this position for the first time faces huge challenges to convince their hiring managers they made the right choice. While it’s a time for celebration, some will be afraid how they’ll cope, and worry about how to lead staff effectively and convincingly.
Whether you want it or not, you will be the one who will be followed, you should show always the best of yourself (if you are unstable, you team will be unstable, if you are focused, your team will be focused)
Leaders who rely on fear and power and intimidation aren’t so much leaders as bullies. True leaders are always nurturing and mentoring others on the team, which means letting them take the wheel sometimes. When you allow others to take the lead, you give them a chance to showcase their skills and talent, and you inspire your whole team to bring their best.

I know that’s A LOT of money, and is the primary reason I originally recommended against purchasing ASM. However, now that I’ve been through the course, I fully recommend it (under certain conditions).
