A toxic leader is someone who has responsibility over a group of people or an organization, and who abuses the leader–follower relationship by leaving the group or organization in a worse-off condition than when he/she joined it.
A leadership style is a leader’s style of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people. It is the result of the philosophy, personality, and experience of the leader. Rhetoric specialists have also developed models for understanding leadership (Robert Hariman, Political Style, Philippe-Joseph Salazar, L’Hyperpolitique. Technologies politiques De La Domination).
It is not enough that people are motivated to succeed at work. They have work together as a team to accomplish the group’s objective. After all, if we just want them to all “do their own thing” we don’t need you as a manager to mold them into a team, do we? Here are some ways to improve your team building skills:
The key to leadership success is to learn to effectively delegate both the responsibility for completing assignments and the authority required to get things done. Many bosses feel that they need to control every little thing that their employees do. This is a recipe for disaster. When you delegate work to employees, you multiply the amount of work you can accomplish while you develop your employees’ confidence, leadership and work skills.
All great leaders are great communicators. That means the ability to transfer the content of your mind into the minds of others. With no error. With no confusion. With complete understanding and accuracy. Leaders train themselves to become master communicators.
5. Be yourself. Although “be yourself” may sound like trite advice, the most respected leaders are personable and genuine. Stepping into a role that requires managerial skills doesn’t mean you need to adopt a false persona. Your colleagues would likely see right through that, anyway.
Ask questions. As a leader, you’re sort of untouchable. People may not come to you because you’re the big man of the organization. They don’t want to pipe up and cause a ruckus. Know that you’re dealing with a constant level of perceived intimidation that you need to break down. How do you do this? Ask questions first!
Thinking that you lack resources: In my book How i did it i explained how i managed to make a website that generates thousands of dollars/month in less than 2 years with an initial investment that is less than 50 dollars!! Don’t fool yourself by thinking that you lack resources because if you are serious about success you will do it without having any resources. This website is one of the examples of successful businesses that required no resources at the start up.
The good leader has great investigating skills, and the natural instinct to do so. Being more on the skeptical side motivates the good leader to question everything; the Who, What, Where, How and Why of any situation. This line of questioning allows them to not only identify potential strengths and weaknesses, but also why they are present and how they can be resolved.
Some ideas for leadership inspiration include being genuinely passionate about ideas or goals, helping followers feel included in the process and offering recognition, praise, and rewards for people’s accomplishments.
Far from being clones enslaved by government diktat or professional orthodoxy, the best headteachers run their schools through conviction and often sheer personality. Even so, they do share some vital leadership qualities. So here are eight to take with you to your own desert island.
It’s no different at work; people do good work for the pay, or the prestige, or the recognition. They do bad work because they want to take it easy and still get paid. They work hard because they want to impress someone. To motivate your people better, figure out what they want and how you can give that to them for doing what you want them to do.
Of course as well as being able to create a compelling vision, they must also be able to communicate it effectively to their followers, which is partly why communication skills are also vital to leaders.

Coaching/ Pace-Setting Leader – You know not everyone fully understands your idea, but there are some that do. Those who understand it immediately begin to work while you bring the rest up to speed, soon you’re all working well together and your plan is implemented.

Remove fear and doubt from your way of thinking. Focus on staying positive in every situation. You will be surprised how effective you can be when your thoughts are guiding your actions, not the other way around. If you fail, don’t be fearful about starting over; be happy that you’ve been given a chance to be even more successful.
Looking back, I’ve decided to chronicle what I learned as a leader during this time. These tips come mostly from my own experience. If I ever had a chance to go back in time, I’d make sure to apply each one of these. What do you think? Which ones do you apply?
