A rising tide lifts all boats – always think win-win. It exists. Just because the world thinks the business world is nasty, and that you need to be manipulative and maneuvering to win, you need not participate in it.
Some might say Hitler was a good leader as he lead millions of people to think in the same distorted way as he did but ultimately it was not the right direction for the German’s to go and he killed himself.
3. Start fighting for what you want: when it comes to succeeding, some will succeed because they are destined to but most succeed because they fight for what they want. to be able to achieve something significant you have to be fearless in pursuit of what you want to achieve. and even if nobody believes in what you are doing, you have to do what it takes to make it happen you have to be determined you have to have tenacity. .as we know the difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person who uses their determination. don’t be afraid to give yourself everything you ever wanted in life.
“A leader places the people around him or her in a position that sets them up for success,” said Andor Kovacs, CEO and founder of property restoration brand Restoration 1. “This is a difficult task, because a leader must have an in-depth understanding of each individual, such as understanding their career goals and knowing what motivates them. By being committed to helping each person achieve their own personal goals, the leader sets the organization up for greatness.”
To develop into a great leader, you first need to understand where and how you can truly make an impact. Strong leadership doesn’t maintain the status quo but takes on powerful challenges and finds a way to make a significant difference in any situation.
When you’re ready to hone your leadership skills, it makes sense to learn from a proven leader. Villanova University offers a highly respected Certificate in Organizational Leadership program. With Villanova’s 100% online courses and flexible, video-based e-learning platform, you can work to expand your skills and earn new credentials as your busy schedule allows.
This means proactively asking to set up a meeting or a Skype call. Be sure to make clear that you’ll rearrange your schedule for the conversation — any time works for you. After all, you’re asking for their help — not the other way around.
Self-Direction. You’re able to direct yourself effectively and powerfully. You know how to get things done, how to organize tasks and how to avoid procrastination. You know how to generate energy for projects, to calm yourself when angered. You can make decisions quickly when necessary, but can also slow to consider all the options on the table.
Even if you’re not there yet, don the costume. Acting “as if” will eventually become acting “as is.” This is how people become truly successful, especially if they or no one else around them has ever done so — they imagine themselves as that person. Then they act accordingly.
As the CEO of a scientific-based enterprise, I can see very clearly the differences between an effective employee and an effective manager. And while there are certainly overlapping skills and knowledge sets, an effective manager needs to have a few extra components in order to be more than just a domain expert—and become a successful leader.
Any good leader knows how important it is to develop the skills of those around them. The best can recognize those skills early on. Not only will development make work easier as they improve and grow, it will also foster morale. In addition, they may develop some skills that you don’t possess that will be beneficial to the workplace.
Demonstrate to your children that your elders should be respected at all times. If your parents play an active role in your life, you can show your children that you respect your parents, just as they should respect you.
Caring for them is not the same as acquiescing to their desires. You’re leading (hopefully) because you know what’s best for the team; they may not. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t mean you have to give them what they want. Allow them to disagree with you, listen to their argument, and let them know why you think the way you do. Let them know you care, but are acting in the best way you see fit.
Networking at the highest level is important in providing a fresh  current of resource inputs for the organization, be it talent, ideas,  material inputs, customers, information, markets, and more.  Networking  is not just for, actually, not even primarily for, making sales.  [More  on networking here]
But you can only lead if other people are prepared to follow. That means you have to win and retain their respect, not just for your position but for you as a person, for your experience, skills and competence. A leader has to have a strong rapport with, and understanding of, the organisation and the people he or she is leading: what they want, and what they will accept if they can’t have what they want. Emotional intelligence and intuition are important in forming these links.
Technology problems. Companies like Dell design smaller and more powerful computer processors that help our user experience line up with our expectations. Can you help people do with technology what they already want to do?
When you’re huddling with your team or giving instructions, make sure to give everyone a chance to participate in the game. If you’re dictating plays, don’t revolve the entire game around your skills.
Schwab says, Pope Francis has “the soul of a leader.” It is true that “most leaders succumb, at one point or another, to the comfortable trappings of office. Yet Pope Francis continues to live a simple and uncluttered life,” like Uruguay’s former president, Jose Mujica, who lived on a ramshackle farm and gave away most of his salary.
In 1963, King organized the massive on Washington, where he made his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech. The passing of the Civil Rights Act in 1964 is noted as one of the many reasons Dr. King received the Nobel Peace Prize that same year. Dr. King used his transformational leadership skills to continue inspiring African-Americans and their allies to fight for civil rights using nonviolence means until his assassination in 1968.
Although John F. Kennedy was president of the United States for only 1,036 days before being assassinated in 1963, his legacy continues to influence politics. President Kennedy was a gifted orator whose speeches, as The Atlantic described them, “were filled with phrases that seemed designed to be carved in stone.” Although his first year in the White House included several failed attempts to topple Cuba’s Communist regime, President Kennedy used his charismatic leadership style to prevent the U.S. from bombing Cuba and reach a peaceful end to the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. Many of JFK’s legislative proposals to strengthen civil rights, voting rights, and aid poor and elderly citizens were passed into law after his death.

  1. That’s how you open up. Pour out all you got from inside you. Give all you have ideas, thoughts, plans. Feel the vulnerability and learn to like it. When you pour all your ideas out you will need new ones. Where do new ideas come from? From critics who want to tear you down, from well-meaning supporters and from people you least expect.
We all have the need to be recognized in some way. The easiest way to recognize someone is by listening to them and accepting them the way they are. This also helps us in leading people with different personalities and strengths towards a common goal.
