5. Start being more disciplined: Discipline gives us the freedom to put all our focus into achieving our goals. But it becomes increasingly harder to be disciplined in a world that is in constant distraction and instant gratification. Sometimes our long- term goals seem to get put off and not made important. discipline is just choosing between what you want now and what you want most. and the truth is anyone who ever made anything important was disciplined.
Self-confidence encompasses the traits of high self-esteem, assertiveness, emotional stability, and self-assurance. Individuals who are self-confident do not doubt themselves or their abilities and decisions; they also have the ability to project this self-confidence onto others, building their trust and commitment. Integrity is demonstrated in individuals who are truthful, trustworthy, principled, consistent, dependable, loyal, and not deceptive. Leaders with integrity often share these values with their followers, as this trait is mainly an ethics issue. It is often said that these leaders keep their word and are honest and open with their cohorts. Sociability describes individuals who are friendly, extroverted, tactful, flexible, and interpersonally competent. Such a trait enables leaders to be accepted well by the public, use diplomatic measures to solve issues, as well as hold the ability to adapt their social persona to the situation at hand. According to Howell, Mother Teresa is an exceptional example who embodies integrity, assertiveness, and social abilities in her diplomatic dealings with the leaders of the world.
Leaders always focus on the needs of the company and the situation. Leaders focus on results, on what must be achieved by themselves, others, and by the company. Great leaders focus on strengths, in themselves and in others.
Prioritize things. List the things you want to do and those you have to do. Include the time you spend eating, showering, etc. Start your day with something productive, maybe slow things down in the afternoon, and then get back to work or take care of chores in the evening. Leave the night open for relaxing. Cross off the things you accomplished and make a list for the next day of anything you didn’t finish.
Practise what you preach. You must believe, in order for people to follow and buy into your vision. Show you are passionate, enthusiastic and proud. People spend a large part of their lives at work, and having a leader who is genuinely excited about the future of the company is hugely motivating and inspiring.
Critical feedback—when administered right—can be powerful,too. When issues arise, talk about risks or details people might not have anticipated. Walking through these unforeseen challenges together can affirm your team’s thinking, which will build their confidence and, over time, make them less reliant on you.
When a company has a positive culture, employees are more motivated and confident in their work. It’s through supportive leaders that a company finds the most success. A good leader will be able to establish an honest connection with his or her peers. A relationship based on trust and reliability makes the team know that their leader is always there for them, which in turn inspires them to be there for their leader.

Show your love and affection for your spouse and children. Though you may be an authority figure, you are also a mother or father, and it’s important to tell your children how much you love them, to hug them, and to tell them they’re special every single day.
What’s particularly helpful here is when leaders have expert power . People admire and believe in these leaders because they are expert in what they do. They have credibility, and they’ve earned the right to ask people to listen to them and follow them. This makes it much easier for these leaders to motivate and inspire the people they lead.
In short, what makes a good leader isn’t so much a series of predefined core competencies, but more about a personal attitude that can be developed to guide you towards the missing competencies and help you on your leadership journey!
Never forget that achieving a goal is based on creating routines. Say you want to write a 300-page book. That’s your goal. Your system to achieve that goal could be to write four pages a day–that’s your routine.
