Transformational leaders have an upbeat, optimistic attitude that serves as a source of inspiration for followers. If leaders seem discouraged or apathetic, members of the group are likely to also become uninspired.
Ask for opinions in a face-to-face situations. At the end of a meeting, you can casually ask if people have any questions or opinions. This will give your employees time to consider what they’re working on. You may also pull individual employees aside, or invite them to your office, to discuss the project further. Tell them that their perspective is crucial to your success.

Servant leaders believe their company goals are best achieved by developing the potential of their workers. They’re not self-seeking and interested in grabbing the limelight. On the contrary, they want to shine the light on others in the pursuit of a greater purpose: the success of their organizations, projects or ventures.

No matter who you are, it’s always helpful when you have someone to look up to who is experienced with strong leadership capabilities. It makes it a lot easier to see someone perform in action than living by words on paper.
Think of the big picture. As you’re solving problems (or simply improving what’s already satisfactory), you might notice patterns, and wonder if many of those issues are symptoms of a deeper, bigger problem or construct. Thoreau once said, “For every thousand hacking at the leaves of evil, one is hacking at the root.” Take a step back and try to find the root. The deeper matter is often not something anybody can solve alone; it’ll require a group effort, which is where your role as a leader comes into play.
The “how to be a better leader” test: How many people on your team know what the company’s secret sauce is and contributes to the recipe? If you are the only one, you may be a boss. Becoming a better leader may be possible by empowering your team. Consider sharing information that may help them contribute to the business’ growth.
