Honest – Wise leaders are not afraid of communicating the truth to their people. Honesty is about being truthful, having integrity, and building trust. Honesty leads to better more productive relationships.
Another really important part of being a successful leader is putting together the right team. Start developing those skills now by paying attention and taking note of your co-workers’ strengths and weaknesses.
To further confuse the definition of leadership, we tend to use the terms “leadership” and “management” interchangeably, referring to a company’s management structure as its leadership, or to individuals who are actually managers as the “leaders” of various management teams.

After starting Apple Computer from his garage in 1976 he was fired by the board of directors in 1985 when the was under intense competition and he disagreed with the CEO on of the future direction of the business. After founding Pixar Animation Studios and NeXT Computer he was eventually rehired by Apple in 1997 as CEO and went on to develop the revolutionary iPod, iPhone, and many other products.
Having a certain level of knowledge will help you feel confident and more leader-esque. While you can do without it, it’s a matter of time before someone else with more knowledge and charisma comes along and takes the title out from under your feet. So whatever, whoever you’re looking to lead, start studying up! It’ll pay off in the long run.
How often have you heard the comment, “He or she is a born leader?” There are certain characteristics found in some people that seem to naturally put them in a position where they’re looked up to as a leader.
Treat your troop with respect and be careful not to be too bossy. If you feel your troop is getting out of control, quiet them down by raising two fingers and asking them to do the same, saying “One, two, three, eyes on me!”, or by clapping three times and asking them to repeat it to come to order. This will cut down on yelling at the group.
