Instead, create benchmarks: “My goal is to increase my productivity by 30% and only be late for work five times per year, at the most.” These are quantifiable goals that when achieved, give you a sense of satisfaction and completion, making you feel successful and confident.

Be creative. To be a good classroom you have to find new ways to introduce boring old material to your students. If you don’t mix things up, your students will get bored and distracted and may even lose respect for you.
Become an expert. Saying, “I don’t know” as a leader is fine. Saying, “I don’t know” repeatedly to every question you’re asked is not. When you don’t know something, find out the answer. Become an expert on what you need to be a pro in. Eventually, you’ll have all the answers. You don’t need them all right now, but you’ll need each one eventually.
