PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. Don’t expect other people to believe in you, don’t expect your friends to get behind you or your family to support you. If they do, great! But if they don’t, you can’t go around blaming them for your failures.

Don’t wait for feedback from your team — they may never offer it. After all, you’re the one dictating how things are going; they may not think their opinion matters. Ask them how you’re doing, how they’re doing, and what they see to make the whole process better. Just because they’re not leading doesn’t mean they’re not full of great ideas!
So, if your current job feels like little more than a paycheck, take a “passion test” to discover what you care about. Go to Pymetrics, play 12 short games, and you’ll get an analysis on your personality traits (cognitive, emotional, and social) to further understand what drives and motivates you.
For example, most schools today have very limited budgets, making it difficult to pay for innovative new programs. When Margaret Chiu, principal of Galileo High School, finds a new program she thinks will benefit her students, she doesn’t waste time lamenting the lack of funding. She gets busy. She immediately begins thinking of who in the community she can ask to help support and pay for the program. She has created partnerships with businesses, local colleges, and health care professionals that help enrich her school’s curriculum.

Multiple definitions of leadership exist, although the different definitions generally converge in the theory that great leaders have the ability to make strategic and visionary decisions and convince others to follow those decisions. The consensus is leaders create a vision and can successfully get others to work toward achieving that goal. They do this by setting direction and inspiring others to want to succeed in achieving the end result. Moreover, they are capable of getting people excited and motivated to work toward the vision.
Out-group members often receive less time and more distant exchanges than their in-group counterparts. With out-group members, leaders expect no more than adequate job performance, good attendance, reasonable respect, and adherence to the job description in exchange for a fair wage and standard benefits. The leader spends less time with out-group members, they have fewer developmental experiences, and the leader tends to emphasize his/her formal authority to obtain compliance to leader requests. Research shows that out-group members are less satisfied with their job and organization, receive lower performance evaluations from the leader, see their leader as less fair, and are more likely to file grievances or leave the organization.[61]
Value experiences over objects. Humans can be extraordinarily obsessed with money. It’s strange, too, because scientists think that our memories of our experiences make us happier than objects we can buy with money.[4] Focus on making great memories with great people along the way, and you should be happy.
What makes a good leader? Just like what is the best leadership style? There is no magic formula nor is there a one-size-fits-all answer. Perhaps we should agree on what has been proven to result in a good leader? Some might believe that a good leader can be measured from a qualitative perspective, meaning that he or she has built a reputation of being a good boss! Personally I prefer — and for the purpose of this article — we should use a more measurable approach to define just what makes a good leader.
Make a list of your goals, and what you might do to achieve them. Be sure to address both short-term and long-term goals; try to think beyond financial and career goals, such as relationship goals, personal goals for bettering yourself, things you would like to experience, or things you want to learn. Draw up a timeline that says when you want to achieve each part.[2]

Internally, that means monitoring performance, for which the two key  indicators are quality and efficiency.  How good is our product, (that  is, how well are we meeting the need we’ve envisioned we’d fulfill?),  and how good are we at delivering it?  Falls in either of these  indicators signal a breakdown somewhere, be it in processes, teamwork,  morale, cost-control, etc.;
It’s important to manage your energy. Leaders are constantly on display and under scrutiny. You need to have energy in reserve so that you can manage your mood and the image you project, and have something in the tank when crises happen (as they inevitably will). Learn to recognise when you are tired or stressed, and how that makes you behave. Watch out for the signs. Learn also to recognise where your positive energy comes from and what takes it away.

I started researching and learning about FBA Private Labeling largely through Scott, and listened to just about all of his podcasts minus the last 10 or so. John Kotter underscores the positive potential of facing problems head-on. “Great leadership does not mean running away from reality,” he argues. “Sometimes the hard truths might just demoralize the company, but at other times sharing difficulties can inspire people to take action that will make the situation better.”

A good leader is a person who takes the team with him and lead them towards the Success or meeting the common goals or in right direction. Leader should not be biased and should have the credibility. He should care for his team. Leader should be like an example to follow. He should have capabilities to motivate team. He should have the “Never give up” Spirit. etc etc 🙂 🙂 🙂

You will not live long enough to figure it all out for yourself. And what a waste it would be to try, when you can learn from others who have gone before. Ben Franklin once said, “Men can either buy their wisdom or they can borrow it from others. The great tragedy is that most men prefer to buy it, to pay full price in terms of time and treasure.”

The only person that can answer the question above is you. I am neither able nor willing to prescribe the ultimate definition of success, as this is not possible. Every person is thinking differently about being prosperous in life and is defining success in another way, so there can’t exist a definition that is suitable for all. It is very important that you know exactly how to define success in life! Make yourself aware what accomplishment, success and prosperity in general means to you in your life. Some might define success as having luxurious cars and a huge mansion, whereas others consider a life full of joy and happiness with their family as the true meaning of success. Once you have figured out what is important for you personally you are able to focus on your visions and goals.

Dedicate a few minutes every day to imagining your success. Imagine yourself in a movie in which you are successful. What are you doing in the movie? What is your success like? Savor the feeling of your success, and use it as motivation to stoke your fire.

This is one of the most important leadership skills. Would you look to someone for guidance and leadership if they did not truly care about the goals of the group? Of course not! Great leaders are not just focused on getting group members to finish tasks; they have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for the projects they work on. Start by thinking of different ways that you can express your zeal. Let people know that you care about their progress. When one person shares something with the rest of the group, be sure to tell them how much you appreciate such contributions.

Over the years the philosophical terminology of “management” and “leadership” have, in the organizational context, been used both as synonyms and with clearly differentiated meanings. Debate is fairly common about whether the use of these terms should be restricted, and generally reflects an awareness of the distinction made by Burns (1978) between “transactional” leadership (characterized by e.g. emphasis on procedures, contingent reward, management by exception) and “transformational” leadership (characterized by e.g. charisma, personal relationships, creativity).[58]

“You need the humility to remind yourself that you’ve got to get better at everything you do,” insisted Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos. “I don’t know about you, but I’m never done growing my company or myself.”

Elon Musk is a great example of a leader with confidence. He truly believes that Tesla will be successful, which he has shown many times through his actions. He converted 532,000 stock options at $6.63 each, their value on Dec. 4, 2009, before Tesla went public. It was a hefty bargain considering Tesla’s stock price stood at around $195 per share at that time. He doesn’t apologize for his beliefs and has drawn fire from just about everyone for his political actions.

The Michigan State Studies, which were conducted in the 1950s, made further investigations and findings that positively correlated behaviors and leadership effectiveness. Although they similar findings as the Ohio State studies, they did contribute an additional behavior identified in leaders. This was participative behavior; allowing the followers to participate in group decision making and encouraged subordinate input. Another term used to describe this is “Servant Leadership”, which entails the leader to reject a more controlling type of leadership and allow more personal interaction between themselves and their subordinates.[36]

“This strategy involves moving from a focus on what is going wrong to what is going right,” Fuda said. “Shining a light on issues and problems is an important part of transformation, but it must not become a leader’s default setting. An important mantra I have shared with almost every leader I have met is, ‘Don’t let perfect get in the way of better.'” 

Many people have the tendency to compare the low points of their own lives with the high points of other peoples’ lives. Remember that no matter how perfect somebody’s life may seem, behind closed doors everybody deals with tragedy, insecurity, and other difficulties.[8] Pay attention to and limit your use of social media to help you remember this.

HBS professor Joe Badaracco agrees that the traditional manager versus leader argument (“Clark Kent versus Superman,” he jokes) tends to undermine the value of management. “There are lots of people who look and act like managers, who have excellent managerial skills, and who don’t make a lot of noise. Nobody is writing cover stories about them. But after they have been in an organization for a period of time, things are significantly better,” observes Badaracco. “Now, are these mere managers because we can’t compare them with Martin Luther King? Or are they leaders because they accomplished something that needed to be done?”

By clearly describing his or her idea to their team, the leader will be able to create a sense of ease and understanding with his peers. When every member of the team is striving towards a common goal, then there is nothing that cannot be accomplished.

In fact, in organizations, one of the reasons employees are promoted to positions such as team leader, supervisor, or department manager, is that they have demonstrated over time that people will follow them.

Helping You Understand The World Of Leadership With These Easy Tips

When you are a leader, try to keep things as simple as possible. Make sure you focus on what is really important. After these things are done, then you’ll be able to set up more priorities. Take the time to streamline your daily tasks as much as possible. And set aside real creative thinking moment for you and you team.

It is sometimes difficult to be a leader and make tough decisions. Use this advice in order to give being a leader your leadership skills.

Avoid thinking people can read your thoughts. State fully how the work needs to be done, and the various steps to get there. Be open to questions. This way your staff will not hesitate to ask questions if they do not understand any of your expectations.

TIP! Your staff are not psychics. Make sure they understand exactly what’s expected of them.

Do whatever it takes to make work more simple while you’re a leader. Be sure to focus on the issues that really are important. Start setting your priorities once you’ve accomplished that. Try to keep things that need to be done as much as you’re able to.

Keep one eye on the future. You must always see a long way down the road and plan with that vision in mind. Of course, you can’t always predict the future, but you can get pretty good at it. Keep asking yourself where you’d like to be in a year or so, and make plans for that.

TIP! The future is the focus of a great leader. You should face the future, see what might be coming and then plan.

Learn about how to be inspiring and inspire people who work with you. Instead of focusing on completing every small task, work on getting the most out of your team’s potential.

Tenacity is an important leadership quality. If something happens to throw the team off course, it is up to the leader to get things back on track. You have to focus on the goals despite all of the obstacles. Your persistence can help them to get back and continue work.

Even such a small mention of gratitude can keep your employees motivated to do well.

If you’re trying to improve your leadership skills, avoid acting like you know everything. You probably have some solid ideas you think highly of, but remember that others around you also have ideas to contribute. Others are able to contribute ideas to improving your own, ways to implement your ideas or even offer constructive criticism on the weaknesses.

TIP! You should never act as if you knew absolutely everything, even if you are a recognized expert in your field of work. While your ideas might be perfect in your mind, others may have advice to offer that is good.

Tenacity is easily among the more critical leadership quality. When things go wrong, your team will look to you for guidance. You should focus on a positive outcome rather than any obstacles that may be in the goal whatever obstacles stand in the way. Your perseverance will help inspire your team to keep moving.

Prior to chatting with the team, make sure you’re prepared. Consider any questions they might have. Spend time developing strong answers for them. Providing the right answers will earn you respect. This is also a good time saver.

TIP! Always come prepared when you’re speaking to people on your team. Consider the questions that might be asked and understand what your employees are currently working on.

Don’t act like you know everything just because you want to improve your skills.You might have good ideas, but others have good qualities and good things to add. They may be able to provide ideas to facilitate your plans and ideas.

One of the most effective and challenging skills you can develop as a leader in business is that of listening to your subordinates. Subordinates have the ability to run with your broader ideas and take them in entirely new directions. When you have told them what you want to happen, listen for their responses and ideas, which might lead you to even more success.

TIP! To be a good leader, it’s a good idea to learn how to listen to the people who work for you. Subordinates can often take a solid idea and run with it in a manner beneficial to all.

Your subordinates are going to judge the choices you according to your decisions. Who you fire, as well as the people you hire or fire makes people think differently of you.

Havings good morals is an important virtue to be a good leader. This means you are always honest, even when you know no one is around. If you are lacking in integrity, others are not going to be able to trust you. Leading with integrity helps assure that your team respects and trusts you.

TIP! It is vital for any great leader to exhibit integrity. This means you should be honest and do what’s right, even when you are out of the sight of others.

You should know your personal life. Know what the goals you want to achieve. They should be properly aligned and may even overlapped in some areas. You must work on both at the same time. If you are not working towards your goals, over time you may lose your drive for the business.

Remember that winning isn’t everything. Don’t just focus on stats and numbers. Lots of managers tend to think this way as a means to measure their workers’ effectiveness. By taking a single step forward and taking notice of success on a smaller level, everyone can become a winner.

TIP! Be sure you don’t obsess over winning. With today’s technology, it is easy to look at stats of different projects.

One of the best leadership skills to develop is listening to people that you lead. Once you’ve listened to what their ideas are, listen to their echoes for more success than you ever dreamed.

Always keep your mind open to learn new leadership skills. Join workshops and take any classes you think can help you build your skills. Things are constantly changing, and you need to be current when it comes to your knowledge. Stay informed about changes in your industry.

Don’t be obsessed with winning. With all the technology of the Internet, it is tempting to see things in terms of goals and charts. Managers do this to measure a team’s progress.If you take the time to look things over properly, winning will happen on its own.

Stand by your word. When you are a leader, you need to do what you are supposed to do. If that proves impossible, you have to tell others why not. Not keeping your promises or making changes to what your plans were will make it to where people don’t respect what you’re doing unless there’s a good reason.

TIP! Be true to your word. When you are a leader, it’s important to follow through on your promises.

Use the role as a leadership position so you can create a team that’s strong and works well with whatever they’re given. Be able to be there when people need to speak with you about problems and be sure you answer questions honestly and as best of your ability. You also don’t want to interfere too much with what your employees are doing.

Be a role model to others. Your title isn’t enough to garner respect. If you expect employees to be on time to work and keep a good attitude, you must set the example. Nobody respects hypocritical behavior. To be an effective leader, your employees must respect you.

TIP! Be a role model for those under your leadership. Don’t hide behind your title.

Try not to display preferences for particular employees’ contributions and ideas. Show respect and being flexible. A great leader treats others as they wish to be treated. Be fair to all your employees and fulfill the promises you make.

You need to portray yourself as a leader if you’re in line for an available leadership role. You should know what you think makes a great leader, and try to strive to move toward that. Respect others, dress appropriately and avoid foul language. Even if you don’t think you will personally benefit from it, always go beyond what is required. These are qualities of a great leader.

TIP! Anyone thinking about becoming a true leader of a group, must first be a leader themselves. Find someone you look up to as a leader and begin learning from them.

Knowing your team’s weak spots is also be a big help. Understanding your team’s diversity and differences can help you lead them successfully.Get familiar with how your employees act and what their personalities. Asking them questions about their personal life and families will allow you to get to know them better and trust.

There is one question that is asked a lot by business leaders. Am I comfortable? If you answered yes, then you’re probably not risking enough. You should be uncomfortable while taking risks and pushing the envelope. Calculated risks sometimes help you avoid a rut, loss of passion and pessimism.

TIP! Many great business leaders ask a single question. Have you become complacent? If you answered yes, then you’re probably not going through any risks.

Leadership can put huge demands of people. These demands may make juggling work with your family or other things outside of work.Remember that a life that’s well rounded if you want to lead well and be more happy. Take breaks and enjoy all of your life.

If you wish to lead well, you have to figure out what the strengths you have are as well as your weaknesses. Take some time to figure these things out and you’ll be able to benefit from what you do well while being able to improve what you’re not good at. You can make improvements, and by doing so you will set a standard that employees can follow.

If you have a leadership role, you’re also a servant. You need to serve the customers and employees in order for things to run smoothly.

Be passionate about work. Your energy and enthusiasm will spread to your employees. If you show passion in your work, it is a feeling that others within your company will follow. Even when huge challenges lie ahead, this is an excellent way to foster strong team spirit.

TIP! Exhibit passion for what you do. Employees look up to the people that are leading them and want to see someone that’s enthusiastic about the work being done.

Employees expect and desire excellent communication from the leaders. The best thing to do to show your communication skills is by becoming a good at communicating is to learn how to listen well. Don’t let a member of your team members or make them feel worthless. Listen to all complaints, concerns or suggestions employees have.

Leaders are responsible for earning the trust of team members. People that you’re working with aren’t just going to give you their trust right off the bat whenever something happens, but after a while they’ll see that you can be trusted if you make good decisions all of the time. Even when things are difficult, you need to have trust in your team.

TIP! To be a top leader, you must earn the trust of your employees. Your employees probably won’t trust you when they are just getting to know you, but they will if you demonstrate your reliability time and time again.

Stay up to date on the information surrounding your market. Knowing what’s happening can help you stay innovative and competitive. A truly successful business leader will not accept not keeping up with the choice of falling behind. Make new trends a focus for planning and evolving your business model.

Delegate tasks to others. With this delegation, you are giving the employee a chance to grow and to reach higher levels. Teaching your skills to those beneath you strengthens the job you do, and the company as well. Never worry that anyone else might take your job when their personal growth increases.

TIP! Give employees the power to succeed by providing them with important tasks. Delegating allows your team members to benefit.

Organize all work and require a certain standard of excellence when it comes to performance.Your business can be productive if you’re able to show people what to do in a clear outline of the required tasks.

Don’t discriminate against any of your employees and appreciate them all equally. Unfortunately, there are some prejudiced leaders. Prejudice is an ugly, restrictive trait that does not lend itself to effective leadership.

A good leader is aware of his or her own weaknesses and strengths. This will help you better yourself and set standards for employees should follow.

Appreciate your employees and show it. While a thank you is a good start, perhaps there are other things you can do to express your appreciation further. Provide bonuses when the company is successful. Have employees who deserve raises? Give it to them. For those who really get the job done exceptionally, offer a bigger reward, such as a trip to a resort. This helps show your employees you value them.

TIP! Show real appreciation to your employees. Everyone loves to be thanked, but sometimes it takes more to feel appreciated.

Be sure you are passionate about work.Employees look up to the people that are leading them and want a leader they can look up to and one that is enthusiastic about the work being done. If you do this, it is a feeling that others within your company will follow. This can make your team stronger even in tough spots.

Continue learning to improve your skills. Your education will never be done, as you will always have more to learn. These people go about their daily lives constantly retooling the skills that make great leaders, and seeking additional information that will improve upon what they’ve already learned. This helps people around you become leaders too.

TIP! Always keep learning and growing your skillset. The best leaders know that perfection in leadership is impossible.

Being a leader is fulfilling even if it may be difficult. You make a positive difference in the lives of others. Folks need leadership and just about anyone can lead in some capacity. Ensure that you are aware of how important you are to others.

A humble leader will surely find success. A little humility is a very attractive trait in a leader. People respond well to it. Others will see you appreciate them when you’re humble. It’ll really help inspire everyone to great things!

Negative reviews are at the top of some of the worst things that can happen to an Amazon seller. So what recourse do you have? Should you respond to the negative reviews? For me, starting with Kindle publishing was beneficial.  It allowed me to learn a lot about how Amazon works – finding niches/keywords, keyword optimizing my listing, getting Amazon reviews, ranking my product in Amazon search, etc…  I learned all of this from Kindle publishing which gave me an advantage.
However, I will tell you this; if you think that you will have no investments into your own unique business, you are dead wrong. And, even more to the fact, if you think you won’t make a few “purchasing” mistakes, you are wrong again.

While in some arenas you may be able to get by with only some of these skills or none of them (if you can hire good enough people to do it for you), generally speaking you must have at least some skills in financial management, human resources, information management, sales, marketing, etc.
Don’t make excuses. Don’t rationalize your failure by placing the blame on someone or something else. Accept when something is your fault. This will help you identify what you need to change to get better. An excuse after failure is a refusal to make the situation better.
We all want to achieve success so we could live a comfortable life—have financial freedom, drive a nice car, and live in a beautiful house. However, although success can be achieved, it does not come easy.
Communication: Good leaders communicate effectively. They communicate clearly and timely to the team any information critical to the business and respect team members opinion. It gives them a sense of belonging which enhances productivity.
If I asked you to define a leader, what would you say? If you’re like most people, you’d probably mention people like managers, politicians or maybe even trendsetters. Maxwell argues that all of the labels to determine who’s a leader and who’s not are wrong. He believes that a leader is someone who influences others. It’s that simple.
Would you look to someone for guidance and leadership if they did not truly care about the goals of the group? Of course not! Great leaders are not just focused on getting group members to finish tasks; they have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for the projects they work on.
Good leaders must be good role models, knowledgeable in their fields, and worthy of respect. There are many ways to lead, whether it’s by taking on a leadership role at work, being the captain of your sports team. Here are some tips to help you excel as a leader in any situation in life.

Followers need to believe that, at the end of the journey, their leader will recognize and reward them for their contribution. The leader must help followers answer the question, “What’s in it for me?” Successful leaders are honest about the potential risks inherent in the chosen path as well as the potential rewards.
2. Clarity. The only way you can get confidence is by becoming really, really clear about who you are and what is most important to you. New leaders fail when they try to become all things to all people, or try to do too much out of their area of excellence. Clarity helps you say “yes” to the right things — and “no” to others.
Join the USG Student Council – every Spring semester, the council seeks new members to join the team. The Student Council oversees everything regarding Student Life. Their job is to make sure the students are happy with things at USG. They are the people to go to about concerns or questions you may have, so they can direct them to the people in charge. By joining the council, you can learn how things operate behind the scenes, speak on behalf of your fellow classmates, and gain leadership skills you might not already have, or sharpen the ones you do have.
Have good manners. An individual should always show respect to other people and distinguish oneself as a lady or gentleman. As a famous Jamaican proverb goes, “Manners carry you through the world and back without a penny.”
You can not handle bad people. You need to focus on what you want and walk away from them. You can also talk to them and let them know that you are there, but your success comes before anything. Just remember that and just stay focused.
According to Maxwell’s Law of Magnetism, we attract people who are similar to us. So, if you’re an insecure, lazy person (which I’m sure none of you are), you’re going to struggle to build a strong inner circle because you attract people with the same bad habits that you have.
Whatever the case, you’re probably wondering how you develop leadership skills on the fly. Sure, you probably have a rough idea of the basics from watching your manager (and her manager). But, doing it effectively requires finesse and complex knowledge.
Situational: Situational leadership encourages leaders to take stock of their team members, weigh the many variables in their workplace, and choose the leadership style that best fits their circumstances.
A particular danger in these situations is that people or organizations that are being managed by such an individual or group think they’re being led; but they’re not. There may actually be no leadership at all, with no one setting a vision and no one being inspired. This can cause serious problems in the long term.
In today’s world, it is pretty much impossible to be successful all by yourself, no matter how good you are at what you do. You need a circle of like-minded people around you to help you succeed. No successful man is an island.

5. Excellent persuasion abilities. People have to believe in you and your credibility. Image is everything and the belief people have in you, your product, your mission, your facts or your reputation are key to being a great leader. You have to persuade people of this — it doesn’t just happen.
“Great leaders are aware of their own style and make the effort to learn how their style actually comes across to their team. They learn to flex their leadership style to individual team members so that they communicate and behave in ways that motivate and inspire.”
Being passionate about your organisation is about looking beyond your strategy and seeing the value your organisation adds to the people outside of it, the customers who receive your organisations goods and services. It is about linking that value to each and every employee’s contribution whilst keeping a focus on those few things that lead to greater business success.
They think about where they are going rather than where they have been. They maintain a positive attitude and think about the opportunities of tomorrow rather than focusing on the problems of the past.
In Google’s Project Oxygen referenced above, they also found three traits of lower performing managers. These are the things that Google now works with those managers to improve on and avoid in the future.
Great leaders with excellent management skills encourage input and change, and the best way to measure them is based on feedback they get from their best people. People usually give the best scores to leaders you trust and to leaders who listen.
None of the old theories successfully address the challenge of developing “leadership presence”; that certain “something” in leaders that commands attention, inspires people, wins their trust and makes followers want to work with them.
The old adage, “Do as I say, not as I do” is crap. It might have worked on you when you were 6 years old, but it will not work on a team of adults. They might not let you know explicitly, but they will be unhappy, eventually leave, and this will cut into your product. It may not have immediate repercussions, but eventually, any hypocrisy on your part will catch up with you.
By all accounts, Steve Jobs was a very mercurial genius who early in his career routinely yelled at employees, co-workers, partners, and vendors. According to some ex-employees of Apple and NeXT, he was intolerant of anything he viewed as failure and his foul-mouthed tirades were the stuff of legend.

There is more than one way to be a success. Many a person gets a degree but still fails to think well, especially in this age of teaching by results rather than learning for learning’s sake. Among many things, Moses led the Hebrews across the Red Sea and when the people could not drink the bitter water, Moses cried out to the Lord for a solution (Exo 15:22-25). What had not changed was Moses’ identification with the Hebrews and his love for them.
A particular danger in these situations is that people or organizations that are being managed by such an individual or group think they’re being led; but they’re not. There may actually be no leadership at all, with no one setting a vision and no one being inspired. can cause serious problems in the long term.
Envisioning means creating, establishing and communicating a clear,  concise, and compelling vision of what value the organization provides  to its customers and to its other stakeholders, and delineates the  organization’s position, or intended position, in the market.

Dedication means spending whatever time or energy is necessary to accomplish the task at hand. By setting an excellent example, leaders can show followers that there are no nine-to-five jobs on the team, only opportunities to achieve something great.
This charisma can be difficult to learn, it usually requires most people to go outside of their comfort zone by speaking with more strangers as well as learning how to command the attention and speak to a group of any size.
A good leader will put a lot of effort into building the right team around him or her. You need people you trust, who are on your side, who challenge and are honest with you and whose judgement you respect. You need to be able to depend on their support when the going gets tough. Moses came up with several excuses why he should not be the one to go and God graciously refuted all of them. We are not told why Moses finally agreed but I believe that Moses’ identification with and love for the Hebrews played a critical factor in his decision.
